We just returned from a five-day visit to Bar Harbor, and cannot speak highly enough about The Tides. Everything about this inn was superb, from the moment we arrived to the day we left. There are three suites plus one smaller room. We stayed in the Master Suite, which had an exceptional view of Bar Harbor island, and overlooks the lovely back gardens and yard. There is a large claw foot soaking tub as well as a very spacious standup shower, with the stongest water pressure we have encountered in any inn or hotel! All of the rooms and common areas are elegantly furnished, and are very comfortable. There is off-street parking. The inn is in a quiet residential neighborhood and the suites face the rear, so street noise was never an issue, yet it is only a five minute walk to Main Street's shopping and sights.
