The Acadia Hotel is a wonderfully located Jewel in Bar Harbor. While everything in this town is breathtakingly beautiful, the Acadia stands out with amazing customer service. We were geeeted by a lovely host who immediately told us everything we need to know about Bar Harbor and how to get around and what to see in the Acadia National Park.... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights here on vacation. Best parts of the hotel were the clean fresh rooms, great close location, friendly staff, and small feel. We could walk through town or cross the street to the green. Would strongly recommend and plan stay there again on our next visit. The front porch is a great place to... More

My husband and I enjoyed two nights at the Acadia Inn in a lovely upstairs room in the front of the house. There was a small porch outside where we enjoyed early-morning coffee and watched the town wake up. Our room was comfortable, overlooking the village below. The Acadia's location cannot be beat--it's within a few blocks of almost anything... More

Conveniently located within walking distance of anywhere in the village, and a short 10 minute drive from the entrance to Acadia National Park. Complimentary bicycles available for guests. Peter, the owner, was extraordinarily helpful and informative, providing tips about the sunrise on Mt. Cadillac and our scheduled whale watch, recommending a fishing trip, and suggesting the best restaurants in Bar... More

We had a great stay at the Acadia Hotel in Bar Harbor. We found the staff very welcoming and friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We appreciated how knowledgeable the staff was, and the recommendations they shared. We wished we had spent more time staying at the hotel, and we hope to be back soon!

Our family of four stayed in the Dorr Mt Suite. It was spacious and spotless. AC kept it cool during a hot spell. Location was perfect: 50-yard walk to the free Island Explorer buses, so we didn't move our car once until we left. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. Owner and staff were very helpful without being intrusive.... More

We stayed at the Acadia Hotel and were told the room we were taking was small. The room was so well layed out along with a king size bed. We were not cramped. The large wrap around porch with a fire pit is so quaint! There was lemonade, and flavored water for the quest. This hotel is very clean and... More

Wonderful stay with Peter and the staff at the Acadia Hotel. The rooms were charming and very unique - had all that we needed and we're looking for. The location couldn't be better - right central to all the shops and restaurants, but tucked away enough to be a bit secluded. We loved sipping our coffee (or wine) on the... More

My girlfriend and I decided to take a short weekend trip to Bar Harbor and we stayed at the Acadia Hotel. This hotel is in an awesome location, and everything was within walking distance. There is ample off street parking. Peter was very helpful with any questions about the area that we had as first time visitors. We had originally... More

Jim H, It is so nice to hear that you two enjoyed your stay with us! Thank you for noticing the small details such as the danishes and lemon water. We are happy that we can provide our guests with off street parking during these busy months, and also that we have the chance to upgrade our guests from time... More

Ideal location in downtown Bar Harbor. Everything within easy reach. This is a small family run hotel, suitable for short stay visitors. Nice clean well furnished rooms. No food is served, but plenty of restaurants within a short distance.
