We enjoyed our stay at the Canterbury Cottage. It is well located a few blocks from the center of Bar Harbor and near to the bus stop where busses go around the area including Acadia. The breakfast was delicious. We had baked pears and a huge stack of pancakes! Our room, the Look Nook, while beautifully decorated, was a tight... More

A small bed and breakfast with only 3 guest rooms. The rooms are small, but well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is a two course full breakfast, which is very tasty. The owners are very friendly and helpful to make the best of your stay (very good tips).

We recently spent 4 days up in Bar Harbor, ME and stayed at the lovely Cantebury Cottage B&B. We'd spent a while researching places, and finally settled on Cantebury Cottage because of their reviews, proximity to Acadia National Park and the fact that they allowed dogs. We were not disappointed! The home is adorable and walking distance to town (with... More

We spent two very pleasant nights at this small B&B in the center of Bar Harbor during the past week [very much off season!]. Martha and Tim are, as noted, excellent hosts, and breakfasts were extremely good. Rooms are small, but everything is very clean and comfortable.

We stayed at the Canterbury Cottage on the first weekend of November. Martha and Tim are great hosts. The Inn has a great location to downtown so we did not have to use our car. Tim made fantastic breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday morning and Martha sat down with us when we arrived and explained everything to us and gave... More

Since dog friendly is harder to find in BH, we felt lucky to stay here, and the owners are more than accomodating and nice to be around. It is extremely convenient to stay in town and walk everywhere. Room was quite comfortable and breakfast was yummy.

We stayed at Canterbury Cottage for 5 nights at the beginning of October and we cannot fault one single element of the whole stay. When we arrived at the B&B, Martha was there to greet us and show us around - she gave us a map of the area and showed us where all the flyers were to help ourselves;... More

This was the very first B&B we stayed at and it was a wonderful experience. The location is great, although parking may be tough since there aren't many spaces. It's on a small side street that's literally a 1-minute walk from town. We stayed in the Look Nook room -- it was very clean, and while we knew it was... More

On a New England trip we stayed only at B&Bs. This one hits 5.0 in every area: attentive but unobtrusive hosts, close to town and restaurants, treats available every day (loved the chip cookies), large rooms with comfortable beds, and of course great breakfasts every morning. After this experience, would not want to stay anywhere else in Bar Harbor.

My husband and I stayed in Martha and Tim's lovely B&B on our recent trip to Bar Harbor. They were so friendly and attentive to us that we felt very well taken care of. Our dog Jackie had a great time meeting their dogs Ellie Mae and Clinton. The rooms were spotless and the bed was so comfortable. It was... More
