My wife & I booked this motel as a back-up plan to camping at Blackwoods in Acadia in case the weather was bad and we're so glad we did! As it turned out, we spent all 5 nights in the motel due to combinations of cold, rain & wind! Our room was very basic, queen bed, bathroom, tv, limited storage... More

The Robbins Motel, located just outside of Bar Harbor, is a great opportunity for the budget minded traveler, who is not expecting 5-star amenities. The rates are extremely reasonable for lodging in this area near Acadia National Park. The motel is a nostalgic 50’s era motel with all rooms on the first floor and doors opening to a reserved parking... More

No complaints. Yes our room appeared to be a trailer, with a pink tile bathroom but it was clean and comfortable. Woods view out the back window. The heater worked and the internet worked. It was inexpensive in price and we were on vacation not a business trip so we were only in our room to sleep and prepare for... More

This motel is great as long as you are a close couple. You will have no secrets. The room is small. A comfortable queen bed, ok pillows, small TV with cable, a board table with 2 plastic chairs. Bathroom is old pink tile with a sliding door. The room was clean and was cleaned everyday. Free coffee when the office... More

The price is right, we can't complain. The internet is working fine, the stool flushes and the heater works. On the outside the motel rooms look like a bunch of mobile trailers hooked together, like you would see in the 1950's. Looks nice enough though. The inside has the paneling and the bathroom has the retro yellow tub and sink.... More

Not wanting to shell out too much money we decided on Robbins. We appreciate they are upfront with who they are and what they offer. The room fit our needs for 1 night in which we weren't in our room for long. The bed was comfortable and the heat worked well. The only thing I'd change would be the height... More

I had to enter "month visited" to write the review. We haven't been there. In August, we made reservations through Booking.com to stay here. About a week later, circumstances changed and we immediately called and cancelled our reservations. The lady on the phone at Robbins Motel was extremely nice and said "Don't worry about a thing. The reservations are cancelled."... More

At the risk of covering much of the same ground as many previous reviewers, this is a good place to stay if you're looking for cheap, no-frills accommodations. If you go to the website, you can clearly see that the owners make no attempt to represent the motel in any other way than that. My room was small, but clean... More

The motel is exactly as described in the web page. It looks actually quite nice from the outside but inside it is very plain, small and feels like an old cabin in the woods (old wooden paneling throughout the room). The bathroom is tiny too. However, the location and price make it worthwhile staying there. You just don’t want to... More

Before you book a room here, you need to decide what you want in a motel. If you plan to lounge around your room and relax, look for someplace else. If you intend to use the room as a place to crash between adventures and want to save a lot of money, it's a great place. The rate was unbeatable!... More
