My wife and I spent 3 nights at Hinckley's and loved it! Our cottage was newly renovated and we looked forward to coming back to our cabin and resting on our very comfortable bed after long days of hiking. The Acadia National Park is just right down the road! Great location. We were greeted by the owner in the main... More

We had a great stay at the cottages. They were simple but fit our group of 4 people and 2 dogs well. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. It was a good deal, as well, based on the location. Be sure to look at what cottage you're getting bc they're all different sizes and some are updated very nicely,... More

My wife booked this place online and the website was glowing. What a joke.Driving from the office to the cabin should have been a dead give away. The roads to and from cabins had DEEP! potholes. All the cabins plumbing is exposed above ground for some 10 feet before disappearing into the ground. We went in the cabin and notice right off... More

We had a family of six in cabin #1, which was cozy but a great value. The inside of the cabin was surprisingly updated and clean. Some miscommunication with service but in-person the staff was very eager to help and provided grills, ready-made bonfire and picnic table.

I understand these cottages are "rustic" but I found them to be unclean and FREEZING COLD! I was there during a cold snap in July. It was 50 degrees but in the cabin it had to be 40. It was absolutely freezing even with the heat blasting. There was definitely a rodent in our cabin that you could hear running... More

A wonderful, family and pet-friendly cabin to stay at while in Bar Harbor. We enjoyed the flexibility of cooking our own meals in our own cabin. Plus, the owners will let you leave your well-behaved pets in the cabin if you want to run into town for dinner or try one of the trails at Acadia that does not allow... More

It is a good place to stay a night or so. It was definitely nice, the staff was friendly, you can tell that the owner put a lot of effort into making it. The only thing was that it was slightly cramped. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We love Hinckley's and always stay here on our vacations to Acadia. This year we stayed in Cabin #18 and found it to be very charming and well appointed. We particularly loved the very comfortable bed with all the cozy blankets and adjacent electric heater (a plus in chilly Maine!). The proximity to downtown Bar Harbor and the Park are... More

First of all - gotta love the price. Try to find your own place with a little kitchen, fireplace and small patio for this price. We had the small cabin - cabin number 2, and it was perfect and cozy for a romantic getaway. Super close to downtown and very private. We absolutely loved it. Thank you so much for... More

While staying here for a week with my mother, I felt very at home- the area was very beautiful and quiet. The staff was very helpful and was happy to answer any questions we had about the area. I would highly recommend staying here, and it's only a few minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor!
