Thornhedge Inn is one of the original estates of Bar Harbor - beautifully furnished with lovely antiques - fun wine time with the owner Andrew, his adorable cocker spaniel Benjamin, and other guests - just one block off the Main Street with tons of shopping and restaurants - most beautiful town, harbor and shore path walk in Maine!! Be sure... More

Pleasantly surprised by our wonderful experience at Thornhedge B&B. When booking, I thought it was quit pricey, but in retrospect, I consider it a great value. My family had a small reunion and we all booked at Thornhedge. We comfortable fit around the breakfast table with other guests and could meet in the parlor at 5PM for Wine & Cheese... More

My wife and I had a great time staying at Andrew's B&B. It is a short walk to wonderful restaurants. It is a perfect location for visiting Acadia. Andrew also does a wonderful job with breakfast. He clearly enjoys taking care of his guests and makes everyone feel welcomed. We also enjoyed the wine and cheese along with the conversation... More

Minutes walk from the village green and its array of restaurants and shops, the harbour itself and a short drive to Acadia National Park, we found our two night stay at Thornhedge Inn ideal. The house is large, classically decorated and rooms are spacious. Andrew, our host, was very informative and provided a great, filling breakfast across the large communal... More

We stayed in the basement Tallyrand room for three nights. It was spacious and nice. Andrew was extremely helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations, etc. The breakfast was great every morning and the wine and cheese happy hour was a nice time to get tips from other guests. We hope to return to Bar Harbor and we will definitely stay with... More

We just spent 6 days in the Tallyrand room and we couldn't be happier. It was our first time to Bar Harbor and Andrew made our stay so nice. The inn itself is a treat to stay in. It is decorated so beautifully. The breakfast meal was real gourmet. We didn't know how we'd like sitting at one table for... More

My husband and I stayed for a week in early Sep. The location was absolutely wonderful, walking distance to the village green, shops and restaurants! Andrew the owner and Ben the Inn's black cocker spaniel were the perfect hosts from start to finish. Andrew provided great tips about exploring in Acadia NP as well as local insight for the best... We stayed at the Thornhedge Inn by accident and what a happy accident it turned out to be. The house is beautiful and the food gourmet. Andy, the proprietor, puts on a spectacular breakfast in the morning and wine and cheese at night. The room was beautiful, the bed the most comfortable we had the whole trip. I wish we'd... More

Thornhedge is exactly what one hopes for in a B&B. The inn is beautifully maintained with the family’s collection of antiques on view everywhere. Our spacious bedroom and bath were spotless. The inn is within easy walking distance of the waterfront, restaurants, and shops. Andrew, the welcoming owner, was a wealth of information about the area. The relaxed afternoon wine... More

This Victorian mansion is beautifully decorated and perfectly kept up. Andrew, the owner and host is very welcoming and present for the wine and cheese hour each evening. Breakfasts are lovely, although there was no choice with a single dish served. However, he was gracious about adjusting for my special food needs. We were in the annex and found everything... More
