Bed and Breakfast was in a great location with a superb view. Bike rentals very close with short ride to Acadia carriage roads. Biked all day. Stayed in Cadillac suite. Modern, clean, up to date with a wonderful view. Also very quiet for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was always fantastic.

The Saltair Inn has it all! Beautiful rooms, superior hospitality, and perfect location. Many rooms have a stunning view of the bay. All guests are treated to a delicious breakfast while taking in the panoramic bay view. The location is just out of sight from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bar Harbor but close enough to be able to... More

If you're looking for a comfortable and luxurious place to stay, that is right on the ocean, in walking distance of downtown Bar Harbor, and a few minutes away from Acadia National Park, then look no further. My wife and I stayed at the Saltair Inn for three nights at the end of April. It was our first kid-less getaway... More

We stayed at The Saltair Inn for 2 nights as part of a 21 day road trip around New England and we could not have picked better. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our room the Arcadia Suite on the First Floor was stunning, with a huge comfy bed, gas fires, Victorian Roll Top Bath and a lovely separate lounge... More

My fiancé and I greatly enjoyed our stay at the Saltair Inn earlier this month. Matt and Kristi were incredibly welcoming and fun to chat with. They also gladly shared specific information about Bar Harbor restaurants and nature spots. The Acadia Suite is beautiful, especially because of the mesmerizing fire places and view. The breakfast was delicious, well-prepared, and accommodating... More

I travel extensively for business and have had the pleasure of staying with Kristi & Matt (almost) weekly for the last several months. "My Room" is always clean, comfortable, quiet and welcoming. It has become my 'room away from home'. Kristi has accommodated my breakfast eating preferences seamlessly.

We absolutely loved our stay. When we walked into the inn we were welcomed with a cozy smell of candles & fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. There was a cozy, old fashioned feel. We loved our room. We just came for a day & before we left were planning on when we could make another trip back. We had a... More

Typically we just come to MDI for a day trip or we camp. This was our first time trying staying in Bar Harbor and it won't be our last. The Saltair Inn was perfect. The house is beautiful and very cozy. The breakfasts were delicious. The location is great, an easy walk to anything you need in town. Matt &... More

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at the Saltair. We've been to Bar Harbor numerous times, but this was our first stay at the Saltair. It definitely won't be our last. The inn is in a great location - walking distance to town, but on the quieter end of West Street, with gorgeous views of the water and... More

In spite of an extraordinarily cold and snowy Valentine's weekend, we had a wonderful romantic get-away at the Saltair Inn. It was glorious to wake up to the ocean view. Our hosts were warm, friendly and knowledgeable about hiking in Acadia. The hearty breakfast was just what we needed before we headed out for a snowshoe. Hopefully we'll be back!
