We have been to this b&b several times and always enjoy the ambience. Breakfasts are very good and if you are watching your waistline, watch out for the cakes and muffins, they're really good and you'll want more. The rooms are attractive with large windows, white linens on the beds and lots of books lining the shelves. This is no... More

The rooms are beautiful, the family who runs the B&B are fascinating and warm to all, the View of the bay is breath taking and the easy access to Bar Harbor town is wonderful. You can walk along the bay or in town. The breakfasts change every day and are so good you find yourself full and not in need... More

We have been staying at the Shore Path Cottage for the last 11 years. There is absolutely no reason to even consider any other place. Roberta always makes us feel like we are home for a visit!! She makes you feel very special like one of her own, it is relaxing, comfy, beautiful, inviting and has great food! The location... More

I just spent a week at the Shorepath Cottage -had a wonderful experience-great location, right on the Shorepath, walking distance to Main Street and the Harbor. Lovely wraparound porch with rocking chairs for relaxing with a view of the water. Nice size room, very comfortable mattress, really good water pressure for such an old house. Plush towels.Friendly, warm, helpful and... More

This beautiful cottage sets right on the Frenchman's Bay. The extensive lawn provides a quiet location to relax and view the ocean. I believe it's the only B&B on Shore Path. Roberta couldn't do enough for us. One day we missed tea time and she personally brought us a pitcher of homemade lemonade tea and ginger cookies out on the... More

We rode our bicycles from Boston to Bar Harbor and stayed for four days, three nights. It was our first time in Bar Harbor. The location is perfectly located near restaurants, shops, downtown and all of the free bus shuttle lines. Our room was clean and charming, the bed was so comfortable that we took three hour naps after lunch... More

Shore Path Cottage has a great location in Bar Harbour. It is close to everything. Roberta, the owner had lots of recommendations of where to eat and what to do . She always had time to sit down and chat. The breakfasts were filling and good. We really enjoyed out stay and would go back.

We reserved our room six weeks in advance, the Lisbeth. When we arrived were told we were "upgraded". We were put in the unfinished barely adequate cottage next door with garbage cans at our doorstep. We had to go by the garbage cans and through the dirty kitchen to get to our breakfast, which was not very good. Instead of... More

We stayed there over a long weekend and based on the good reviews on tripadvsor, we booked this place. The place was lacking in so many ways (we stayed in other b&bs in the area and this one definitely ranked as the worst one we have ever stayed in). Also, this place was really old -- don't get me wrong,... More

I stayed in Roberta's little writer's studio next to her beautiful main house in October 2009. These were two of the best weeks - wonderful guests, incredible host and beautiful location. I will return here every year. Perfect location for a writers' residency.
