I make a spring trip to Bar Harbor every year. I was searching for a different place to stay and came across Shore Path Cottage. It is very quaint at the end of a quiet street. There is an inviting L shaped porch with plenty of seating. The interior has a sitting area, kitchen and dining area and one room... More

I was looking for a special place to spend a low key, long weekend in Bar Harbor, near the ocean, the walking and cycling trails, walking distance to town and restaurants... a place with good books and good conversations, a comfortable bed and windows that can be left open at night, a delicious breakfast, a glass of wine late afternoon,... We enjoyed our time at Shore Path Cottage; the location is excellent for the town and the national park, and our host Elizabeth was extremely welcoming. There is a great deal of home baking and this is evident in the breakfast and afternoon cakes, plus other home-made dishes at breakfast. There is also wine offered in the early evening. The... More

We loved everything about the B&B, the location, the owners Roberta and Lizabeth, the laughter, the food, the view and the time spent on the porch drinking coffee! Roberta baked us an apple pie for our last day, we stayed in the Roberta room, it was quiet, spacious and comfortable! I'm trying to determine when to return in 2015.....

We were thrilled that we'd chosen this wonderful and delightful cottage. It is an oasis from the hub of the noisy harbor waterfront. Ideal location, walk across the lawn to the legendary shore path, tucked away down a quiet quaint tree lined street. In the heart of it and yet serenely peaceful. Cecily and her family treat you as friends... More

We spent 3 nights at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. The house is in a very quiet and secluded area. You walk down the front lawn and you are on the shore path that goes right into town or you can walk up the street to Main Street. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and shops. You are... Stayed two nights in this well situated B&B on the Shore Path and very near the Main St. The location is very quiet and peaceful with plenty of seating areas on the lawns, verandah and guest sitting rooms. The room was quiet but a little dark - a common problem for us in the US. Breakfast was ok.

We were once told that bed and breakfasts either have great hosts, or a great location. So, Shore Path Cottage has both: great hosts, a great location, plus, a really nice ambience, a lovely environment, and two great rocking chairs on the porch looking out onto the water! What more could you expect from a bed and breakfast. Its on... More

My mother & I spent one night in the Bird's Nest II suite and loved our room. Very bright and sunny second floor open floor plan. Comfortable beds, very clean and affordable! Within walking distance of town, though located on a quiet dead end road and right on the shore path. Looking forward to going back, maybe this fall!

We had a really nice vacation while staying at the Shore Path Cottage. The inn is immaculate and the grounds are lovely. You can walk through the grounds to the Bar Harbor Shore Path, which is lovely, especially in the evening. The cottage is located one block from the center of Bar Harbor and the ocean can be seen from... More
