We greatly enjoyed our stay here! The innkeepers were extremely nice and helpful, truly wanting everyone to have a wonderful stay. The inn was cozy and very clean, and I loved the way it was decorated. The breakfast was delicious both days! We also loved the cookies and coffee for an afternoon snack. We stayed in the Acadia room, which... More

This was our first experience staying at a B&B, which was the perfect setting for our vacation. Jim and Anna were the best innkeepers and chefs. They provided excellent service and we loved the attention to details. We cannot emphasize enough how amazing the breakfast was.

We have never stayed anywhere that we felt more welcomed than here. Greeted upon arrival with a smile and it just never ended. Jim and Anna were so down to earth and friendly, the room was amazing, the Inn was so beautiful and homey. The grounds are beautiful. The food out of this world. We have decided to just move... As parents of 3 young children, my husband and I rarely get time away together. However, we managed to sneak away overnight for his 30th birthday. I chose the Coach Stop Inn because of its excellent reviews and also for its rich history. I was not disappointed! For starters, the inn is beautiful. If you're in to history (like I... More

We have just returned from a 4-day stay at Coach Stop Inn and just want to say what a pleasant experience it turned out to be. We were booked in the Tavern Suite with its own little parlor and fireplace which was an extra special treat. From our initial welcome, with a warm fire in the parlor and the smiling... More

I've heard and read a lot of good things about Deborah (the previous Inn Keeper) before I booked this B&B. However Jim and Anna have carried on the duties as the Inn Keepers, Chefs, and Owners of Coach Stop Inn with top-notch style and flawless hospitality. Believe me when I say you will feel at home and you will be... More

We spent three nights at this Inn and really enjoyed our stay, our room was detached from the main house, had a little sitting out area which would have been nice if the weather had been kinder to us. The room had everything we needed for a short stay plus a walk in shower. The breakfast was very good, one of the best... More

My wife and I were celebrating our 35th Anniversary in Maine and stayed at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast outside of Bar Harbor. Deborah and her staff were wonderful. The food was delicious and the peace and quiet was amazing. We stayed on the 1st floor in the Somes Sound Room. We enjoyed being away from the city and being... More

Deborah and her staff were outstanding! Friendly, informative, helpful and responsive. Our room was very clean, comfortable, bright and roomy. Breakfast each morning was excellent. It is less than 5 minutes from the entrance to the Acadia National Park and less than ten minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. Our favorite evening was when we sat in the living room with... More

The Coach Stop Inn is the oldest lodging establishment on Mt. Desert Island we were told. Dates from 1804. We stayed in the Tavern Suite on the first floor, which was terrific. There was a private ante-room between the room door and the hallway which made the suite extra quiet and private. We had a large sitting room with a... More
