This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Hearthside Inn boasts a prime location that delights guests eager to explore Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. While the inn receives accolades for its clean, comfortable rooms and the staff's exceptional service, some visitors point out the lack of in-room amenities and challenges with stairs. The cozy atmosphere and scrumptious breakfast are well-regarded, yet a few guests feel the pricing is a bit steep for the offered value.

This place is lovely and if you plan to visit Bar Harbor I highly recommend Hearthside Inn. Julianna, Kathryn, Brittany and Susie were very helpful in so many ways. Restaurants and hikes and what to see and do and times, etc. They were all great, we knew at check-in we were at a nice comfortable place to stay. The breakfasts were amazing, and the afternoon coffee/tea/snacks were a wonderful bonus that we took advantage of for 3 days! It spoiled us for the rest of our trip! We enjoyed chatting and getting to know them when they weren’t so busy taking care w guests.

A beautiful and cozy inn in a great location. On a quiet street that is close enough to walk to all the restaurants and shops. Friendly and welcoming owners, a wonderfully decorated room, and delicious food too!

We were so excited for our stay at Hearthside Inn based on the photos we saw and reviews we read, but nothing could have prepared us for how amazing the experience was! The innkeeper Juliana and front desk manager Britny were so incredibly kind and helpful and the inn was the best - all common areas and our room were beautifully decorated while at the same time inviting and cozy. The location was perfect for walking everywhere in Bar Harbor and the breakfast food and tea time snacks were absolutely delicious. The ideal landing spot for all your Bar Harbor adventures, but so lovely that you might have a hard time prying yourself away from the inn! Parking out front was a breeze. Truly cannot recommend Hearthside Inn enough!!

We aren't the typical b&b folks so this was a new experience for us. I wish I had requested a lower room as we were on the third floor which was very difficult for us, especially because my husband was having back trouble. Every staff member we interacted with was kind and eager to help make our stay a positive one. Although we are not breakfast people, the homemade breakfast options were very tasty and the service was excellent. The Inn was beautifully decorated and made walking to downtown a breeze. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of parking so we had to park off-site when/if we moved our car. Although our room wasn't on the third floor and wasn't particularly accessible for us, it was lovely and nicely updated. The ensuite bathroom was newly remodeled although very small and ere was no place to put anything. I would recommend adding a small table or shelf to hold toiletries. The air conditioning was controlled by a remote that had to be operated by a staff member (I'm not sure why this is) so we weren't able to change the temperature without disturbing one of them. After several attempts to get it right, we finally just lived with it. Overall, it was a nice stay and good introduction to the ins and outs of the bed and breakfast life.

We loved our stay at Hearthside Inn. From the moment we checked in, to tlhe daily afternoon tea treats, to the amazing breakfasts--it was perfect! Britney greeted us when we arrived and made sure that everything was perfect for our stay. She really made us feel welcome to be there. The location was excellent--very walkable to all of Bar Harbor and a very short distance to ANP. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and our bed was very comfortable.

Had an amazing night at Hearthside Inn, wish we’d stayed longer! The Inn is beautiful, well maintained and thoughtful decorations and styling. The King room was huge with a super comfy bed and large bathroom. Very quiet street but close to downtown so a great location. Juliana, Britny and Carissa were fabulous hosts, very helpful and friendly and made us feel so welcome. And the food prepared by Jason was amazing! Delicious breakfast and lots of extra treats and baked goods. Would highly recommend and really made our time in Bar Harbour memorable.

I wish we stayed longer! Staying at Hearthside was the one of the best things about our vacation. Juliana, Brittney and Carissa were all so welcoming and helpful. The delicious food made by Jason. I can’t recommend this stay enough! The rooms were clean and comfortable, mine even came with a bathtub with the option of jets, which was a perfect ending to a long day of hikes. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I stayed at Hearthside Inn the last week of October and it blew us away. Julianna, Brittany, and Carissa were so welcoming and the food Jason made for us was phenomenal. We felt like we saved so much money because we were filling up with large, delicious breakfasts and then there were always treats or baked goods around the house the rest of the day for us to graze on. It was so much more personal than staying in a hotel. The room accommodations were also very nice, loved our king bed and smart TV on the wall. And the 2 minute walk to downtown Bar Harbor was so convenient.

Husband says: “My family went all out to make this surprise trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP a perfect trip. It was my 50th birthday and they sifted through dozens of places to stay, keeping in mind that I like cozy and friendly places. What they found when they decided on Hearthside was PERFECT. The rooms were awesome, though, sadly *not* haunted. The bathroom was renovated and everything in the room was tidy and clean. Downstairs felt like a home I could easily live in. Fireplaces were running and each room was decorated like a place I’d be proud to live in, not some trendy hotel or AirBnB. Breakfast was so perfect each day that I can’t even compete (and I am pretty decent around a stove). Presentation had everyone at other tables snapping pics. Hats off to the kitchen staff for their dedication to the art of breakfast. The heroes in the experience were our innkeepers. Juliana and Britny were incredibly hospitable and really made us feel like Hearthside was home, which I’m saying a lot but it’s true. They were like neighbors I could relate to and their knowledge of the amenities and history of the town and inn was awesome. I’ve traveled around the world, staying in dozens and dozens of places and never have I ever felt so welcome and taken care of. Bravo, Hearthside. Bravo.”
