we reserved a room on the 4th floor for 3 reasons. 1-unobstructed view 2-noise from street 3-very strong fried seafood smells permeate the room. we reserved 2 notes. it is an expensive room. the room is on the 2nd floor. the view is a touristy outdoor 2 level seafood restaurant. the room is overwhelmed with the smell. you can clearly... This is a very nice hotel, with friendly staff. A very nice roof top pool with drink service. The pool has an excellent view of the ocean. The rooms were very clean and the room we chose had a balcony. Just a short walk through downtown Bar Harbor for breakfast in the morning. We will definitely stay again.

The hotel is beautiful and comfortable I could live there. I didn't think the price was bad for a harbor view room compared to what you pay at other hotels. It is the center of all activity. The rooms are beautiful with nice furniture, spacious and you can enjoy your balcony. The 25 dollar resort fee isn't that bad. You... More

This is a beautifully appointed hotel with amazing rooftop pool and large well appointed rooms, and there is no doubt the best location in Bar Harbor ... HOWEVER, beware when it comes to your credit card. We booked online on a book and save rate with prepayment. Payment however was NOT taken and they looked for another CC on check... More

This is a newer clean hotel in a quaint area. After visiting other smaller inns and bed and breakfasts I think a trip to this area would be more enjoyable in a less commercial hotel. Prices are high and the silly $25 per day resort fee adds insult to injury. Friendly staff and most helpful.

Ok it's bar harbor. Things are pricey here. So don't get worked up if the bill is pretty high. Even though it's pretty expensive hotel I wouldhighly recommend it because it actually is great value. The rooms are very clean but contemporary. The view is amazing if you request for ocean view or harbor view even though it cost extra.... More

This hotel has the most incompetent front desk I've ever encountered. I was called to confirm my reservation 24 hours in advance, and I made sure to ask whether the room had been paid for already. The reason was because I wanted to cancel, but I was told I could not because I got a special rate for booking early.... More

My husband and I stayed here for a little couples get away. We had a great room for 2 nights overlooking the harbor. The room was comfortable, the deck was as well (although it was over the restaurant so it wasn't quiet when out there), the bathroom shower was really nice to. I found the overall noise loud. When you... More

This is in a great location and with the rooftop pool, we were able to enjoy Bar Harbor away from the crowds while sunbathing with a cocktail in hand. Once we were ready to hit the town, it was easy access. The service was always top notch and cleanliness was superb. I think the privacy and luxury feel was worth... More

First, this place was nice and the location was great but it is not worth the cost. I booked a double room several months in advance and the room I was given was a single. I called the front desk and they walked me to a "double" room which was a king size bed and a fold out couch. I... More
