We spent two nights here the end of May. Bob is a gracious host serving a delicious breakfast. Our room was very small, but we had chosen the least expensive and a small room was to be expected. I'm sure the other rooms are larger. The home is very well appointed and we would certainly recommend Anne's White Columns Inn.

Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, quaint and homey rooms. About a 15-min. drive to Acadia National Park. Romantic b&b in Bar Harbor, good walking area nearby. I suggest booking in advance because there are only ten rooms in the inn. Great find!

Bob was the perfect host! Breakfasts were excellent and our room was a delight. We stayed three nights in September and the leaves were changing colors. The inn is convenient and walking to the main section of Bar Harbor. The street is clean and quiet.

It had some grandeur but missed warmth .Everything was there but it shows that the owner does this job for many years, Our room was very small, not even a cupboar, we hab tomplace our suitcases on the floor, You have to eat whatever they serve you at breakfast, no choice, lots of informations about hikes and bike rentals that... We booked this place at the last minute as a result of reading a review on Trip advisor. We had decided to go to Acadia to hike during our week in southern Maine. We planned to stay only one night and most bed-and-breakfast facilities will require a minimum of two nights. we were quite happy to learn that Howard innkeeper,... More

We enjoyed our stay at this inn. The room, Ban y bearn, was comfortable and clean but a bit old fashioned interior wise. Not completely our thing but charming. Chatting in the late afternoon with Kathy and drinking a glas of wine and eating some cheese was really nice. She is a charming lady and gave us good tips about... More

Bar Harbor is one of the great places in the US. This hotel is very well located and allows you explore the town easily on foot. The buildling is beautifula and the room was quite nice. I'm not a big B&B guy but this place was comfortable for me. Bed was very nice, breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I would... More

This was a beautiful Bed & Breakfast inside and out. Our room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast's are delicious. We ate on the screened in porch every morning and ate with other friendly couples both mornings. Bob is an excellent host. The location is fanatastic! A two block walk to many wonderful stores and restaurants. At... More

This is a great place to stay. Bob and Anne run a beautifully decorated and charming inn. The breakfast was delicious and very nicely served. The porch was a great setting to sit and relax in the afternoon. The staff was knowledgable about Acadia as well as Bar Harbor. I can't wait to go back.

We recently stayed here in Bar Harbor and would happily return anytime. Bob was a gracious host and the room we had was charming. Blackout blinds would be a helpful touch for the room we had as the very early morning sun is a direct hit on the window at 5:30 AM. The evening visit over wine and cheese was... More
