This bed and breakfast offers the best of both worlds. It is tucked away on a quiet side street yet within easy walking distance of everything you would want to do. Our hosts Heidi and Gary were very welcoming and professional. Each morning we were presented with a unique breakfast appetizer and main course. They were so helpful with dinner... More

We stayed in the Rosserne room which was very nice, comfortable and quiet on the third floor . The stairs are not overly narrow, it's just not a modern house. We did not find them difficult and actually liked the third floor as there are two rooms and ours was near the back of e house. The property is excellently... More

The hosts were wonderful and the building was clean and well decorated on a quiet side street. The breakfast was a delicious apple Clafoutis. Complimentary reusable plastic squirt water bottles were provided which were a nice touch. Umbrellas were available to borrow, which we ended up needing that day. They had lots of maps and menus for reference in a... More

We decided to stay here after reading all the positive reviews that we read. My husband and I come to Bar Harbor every year and like to try new places to stay and this is definitely one of the best. Gay and Heidi are extremely attentive and helpful and the breakfasts are simply delicious. Our room was nicely decorated and... More

The Atlantean is just wonderful. Hosts Heidi and Gary have made a historic home into a beautiful, warm, welcoming and restful oasis that's great to "come home" to after a busy day in Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park. As other reviewers have mentioned, the Atlantean is on a quiet, largely residential street (a dead-end, so no traffic noise). It... More

Loved this place, interior and exterior , beautiful. Gary and Heidi are welcoming owners of the place. Vegetarian breakfasts were unbelievably tasty, and the hotel practices of doing business as" green" as possible were spectacular. Definitely must stay places at Bar Harbor

We chose the Atlantean Cottage based on Trip Advisor reviews and we are glad we did.The location is perfect. It's on a quiet side street and it's an easy walk to restaurants and shops. In addition to gourmet breakfasts, the hosts are very knowledgeable and accommodating with restaurant suggestions, directions and things to do. Acadia National Park was closed during... More

Hands down, this was the best bed and breakfast we've ever stayed in! We were there for four nights in July, in the Baymeath Room. This is a grand, historic home, maintained meticulously. Our bedroom was immense, with a large, comfortable king-sized bed. And the bathroom had been recently redone, complete with a large rain shower. We are both fussy... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on a New England drive and were not disappointed. The cottage is beautiful, clean and welcoming. We chose our room (Tallyrand) because it had a sauna in the shower and a real open fire, it looked good in the picture, but oh it was so much better in real life!! What a wonderful, stylish... More
