Spent 2nd week of October there with my wife. Stayed in the Motel. Both motel & cottages have great views on the water front. Not the newest place, but great for the money. Used fireplace each night, very romantic. Large sliding glass doors with beautiful Bay view. Lobster boats moored in the bay. Off the road, so absolutely no traffic... more

The hotel has the best view right on the beach and very clean but outdated. It's about 10 minutes driving to Bar Harbor downtown. The owner is very helpful and provided very good information. Highly recommend this place. more

Stayed for 2 days in June in the "Hayloft". Absolutely wonderful. From the ship inspired loft to the fireplace and finely chosed linens, this place far exceeded our expectations. The turn of the century hayloft had original archetictual detail still in tact that were incorporated into the remodel. The hosts were extremely knowledgeable and gracious. The Edgewater is close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia, and far enough from the "action". We had one of the motel rooms on the ground floor. We stayed in cottage #9. Old old appliances - fridge and stove and not very inviting for cooking. Entire cottage had a tired feeling. Faucet on sink looked original. Great water pressure in the shower ! stand back. Great location - quiet and close to restaurants ( fortunately), Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park. more

We stayed for nine nights. Every day fresh towels and trash removal were provided. Bed made every day. After four or five nights room was completely changed. Small but adaquate TV lots of stations.
