We have been staying at Barton's for years and found it quiet, comfortable and most accommodating to our needs. There are areas in back of it for quiet walks. The location is great--very close to the entrance to Acadia National Park and a short drive from the heart of Bar Harbor with its many shops and restaurants. We love it.

This was my second motel in Bar Harbor. The price is okay, but for what you get, it's not a bargain. Upon check-in, the front desk staff was friendly. The room was large, with two queen beds, a desk to sit at, and a table for eating. While okay, the whole place looked worn around the edges. It could certainly... More

This is an older property conveniently located to Bar Harbor and Acadia. We stayed in the motel. I liked having a fridge in the room and being able to do laundry on property. The room didn't have a hair dryer but one was available at the desk. It appeared the bathroom had recently been redone. Nothing fancy but met my... More

This was the second time we stayed here only this time we stayed in the cabins. 3 adults and a 4yr old. These are not luxury cabins but they are clean, and convieient to Bar Harbor and Acadia. They are also reasonably priced. Our cabin had a kitchenette, we didn't use but if we stayed longer than 2 nights we... More

I stayed in one of the cottages (not the motel), and was quite happy with my stay. The cottage was simple but very clean. There are a few cottages across the street from the motel, with most occupied but barely noticed anyone else - although there is traffic noise during the day, it's quiet at night. I found it well... We were looking for a reasonable place to sleep while visiting Acadia. Didn't need anything fancy since we only used the hotel for sleeping. The room was large but very sparse. Curtains did not block out the light. Windows did not lock. TV was mounted on the wall and was difficult to see from the bed. Shower spray came out... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a trip to Acadia NP & I've to say that overall I was satisfied with my stay. This motel is outside of Bar Harbor (3 miles away) but for me it was an advantage rather than a disadvantage. It is in a quiet area & away from the touristy town, yet its right next... More

Booked two nights at this quaint motel/cottage location. 4 adults and one dog in one of their pet friendly motel rooms. Good location - close to downtown Bar Harbor and the Hull's Cove entrance to Acadia National Park. Very clean room; full bath and well kept grounds, it is an older motel, but holds its own for a good place... More

Lots of cyclists stay here, looking for a good value, with wi-fi. The rooms were clean, and the heater worked, which is pretty important even in early October. During both nights, the hotel had very quiet nice customers -- mostly ages 30-60 tired from hiking all day! The carpets were clean, though the wallpaper in the bathroom and floor congoleum,... More

We stayed at Barton's, in the hotel due to the fact that all the cabins were booked. Our room was basic, but clean and roomy. This is an older hotel, but it seems to be well maintained. I liked the fact that it is one story, and you can back right up to your door to unload luggage. There is... More
