My wife and I chose a visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary even though we had never been there before. We are thrilled that we did and we definitely picked the perfect place to stay. Steve and Jane are wonderful hosts and immediately greeted us and showed us a map to get... More

We enjoy this place so much! Brought our granddaughter this year and she enjoyed having her own room (what teenager wouldn't?) Steve and Jane are the best! Fun, great cooks, a wealth of information on the area and beyond We've stayed in 4 of the 6 rooms and have peeked into those as well - Not a bad room in... More

We made a last minute reservation at the Aysgarth and couldn't have been more pleased. The room was clean and well kept and we loved the little gifts and information the innkeepers had left for us. The innkeepers were extremely friendly and took the time to offer personalized advice for which hikes to go on in the park. They were... More

Maybe it's because it was our first B & B in Bar Harbor; maybe it's the great breakfast, comfortable rooms, or the now long-standing relationship we have with the innkeepers; but whatever the reason, it's our favorite place to stay when we get to Mt. Desert Island. Steve and Jane run a great place, making a point to interact with... More

I stayed at Aysgarth last year September for my interview at Jackson labs and it felt so much like home. Friendliest host and best breakfast ever! Location is also awesome since you can walk practically to every place. This year I am going back again to Aysgarth with my husband... its a place where you will want to come back... More

Aysgarth Station is perfectly located on a relatively quiet side street in BH. Jane and Steve are great hosts, friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were wonderful, and our room was very nice. Highly recommended.

Jane and Steve at the Aysgarth offer an exceptional B&B experience. Our room was comfy and had everything we needed, common areas are spacious and inviting, and breakfasts are stellar. it's located just a short walk to shopping, restaurants and activities in Bar Harbor, and a short drive to an Acadia National Park entrance. The real mark of a superior... More

We spent three very enjoyable days/nights in Bar Harbor and enjoyed our stay at the Aysgarth Station. The inn is very convenient for walking to the main part of town. There are lots of restaurants and shops plus the harbor and "Bar" itself. Be sure to find out when the tide is low and walk over to Bar island. We... More

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Susan for this wonderful and honest review. Just got back from a fantastic trip to Bar Harbor. Aysgarth Station was a big part of that. Inn keepers were great, informative and fun. Great location, great breakfast! We really appreciated the extra mile they went to make our stay special. We had several days when we had to leave early in the morning and we had excellent bagged... More

What a fantastic spot in Bar Harbor! The Aysgarth was really special, a perfect getaway. My boyfriend surprised me for my birthday, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! The breakfast was fantastic, upscale but not stuffy, and I have the best Souvenir mug!! We stayed in the Skipton room, which had a fantastic bathroom and was... More
