My wife and I stayed here for our weekend getaway in Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor was beautiful and Acadia National Park was worth visiting. However, Harborside Hotel was a nightmare of a stay from the first day. The rooms, hallways and views appeared to be beautiful on the surface but the surface is where this beauty stops. Staff at the... More

We went to Bar Harbor on a whim and had no idea where we'd stay. As we drove toward the harbor, we saw a lovely hotel, on the water, with a vacancy sign. I couldn't park the car fast enough, it was just what we wanted. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with a great staff, in an excellent location. Who... More

Just got back from a quick trip to Maine which included a one-night stay in Bar Harbor. I wish we would have had more time for a longer stay! We booked a "sunset view" room (i.e. a view of the parking lot) - which would have been fine as we were not in Bar Harbor to hang out in the... More

The Harborside was fantastic. The location is perfect, well within walking distance of all of the action in the town of Bar Harbor. Ocean view is nice, and the pool (had the weather been a little warmer) would have been great. Great value for the location and quality of services. Highly recommend.

It's hard to believe that this property bills itself as luxury when it is basically a Marriott Courtyard at best. It will probably take another five years to complete the site and in the meantime, it's catch as catch can. The staff tries but since most of them are "hospitality in training" from all over the world, you get polite... More

We stayed here two times with two children and loved this family friendly hotel. The friendly staff, the well maintained outdoor pool as well as the central location with a nice view of the harbor made this a great place to be during our vacation in Bar Harbor/Acadia.

This is our 2nd time in Bar Harbor. The last time we stayed in a B & B. Since we were traveling with our 5 kids, we wanted to stay in a hotel this time. I found the Harborside on the internet and booked our 3 night stay. I do agree that it is soooo worth it to pay the... More

So we thought this place looked great given their Web site, but their Webmaster must be a genius. After a long 10-hour drive we drove up to what looked like a nice hotel, and were quickly checked into a large, nondescript room that looked out at the parking lot. Given we had just spent 10 hours looking at the backs... More

Such a lovely hotel with excellent service. My room, unfortunately, did not have a view which many others did, but otherwise the experience was great. The room was moderately large and the beds comfortable. Towels and sheets likewise. The staff were very helpful. Their was one little glitch and that was corrected. One room was not serviced on the last... More

Everything from start to finish at this hotel was pleasant. I booked via the hotel's website and using the AAA discount proved to be quite beneficial. We booked the Deluxe King Ocean Front. The rate during this off-season stay was perfectly acceptable for the accommodations and I can't be certain, but I think the low census prompted an upgrade for... More
