My Auntie and I stayed to this hotel with her family. The service was great - Especially upon check-in. We came in the island on a peak season still they gave us a discount and a very nice room. We had two twin bed which the bed is very comfortable. I had a great time sleeping. They provided us extra... More

Thank you! I get the feeling that not only were you happy with The Bayview but that you had a wonderful all around vacation as well! I think it is great that you took advantage of the Island Explorer buses after your private tour in the park. It is so nice not to worry about parking when traveling through Acadia.... More

This was our first trip to Bar Harbor and the Bayview Inn did not disappoint. The rooms are large and ours had a beautiful view of the water. The staff went out of their way to help us with our day excursions and Al was so nice to drive us into and from town each evening. Staying outside of Bar... More

Thank you! I had to laugh when I read your review. I had just gotten off the phone with a future guest and the three things she mentioned to me were the water view, the shuttle service and the food! Guess I can figure out why she decided to stay here. Obviously she reads and believes TripAdvisor. Thank you so... More

This was our first trip away from home with our little one and it didn't disappoint. The Bayview's location and staff were outstanding. As most have stated, it is only a short 5 minute drive to the entrance of Acadia National Park. The room are huge and immaculately kept, but do ensure that you reserve a room with a balcony.... More

Thank you! It has been a cold and snowy winter so this was especially nice to see! Reminds us all that warm, sunny days are coming. The view this winter has been just as amazing with the snow and ice, but there haven't been any hot breakfasts or cookies which we all miss. It won't be long now! Your review... More

We go to Bar Harbor twice a year every year to hike and we never stay anywhere else, but at The Bayview. The ocean view rooms are spacious with lovely balconies, comfortable beds, spotless clean. The service is absolutely the best and the friendliest. We called the hotel to change reservations three times in October trying to catch good hiking... More

Thank you! I thought what a great way to end the year with such a lovely review! Then I decided, no, what a great way to begin the New Year with such a lovely review! Either way I look at it, it was a wonderful review. I get nervous when people say we are the best, not everyone feels that... More

Just a short review to say we really enjoyed our stay of three nights at the Bayview. We had a beautiful room overlooking the sea, and even saw an otter swimming out at sea on our first morning there! The staff there were genuinely very friendly and helpful - in particular Jocelyn at the front desk and Al who drove... More

Thank you! Now that winter is upon us, it is a bit chilly on the decks but there have been lots of ducks and loons out there. There is always something to see and today it is a snowstorm! I am glad you had such a nice time and will make sure both Jocelyn and Al see your lovely review.... More

We arrived after dark, in fact missing the entrance and having to retrace our steps. Need to look for a dark brown sign with gold script lettering. The room was a perfect fit to our booking. We were tired and hungry, and the staff was very helpful in booking us dinner at a restaurant and then taking in a complimentary... More

TripAdvisor has been great to us and we are thrilled with the top rating. I have said it 100 times before, our guests write better advertising copy than I do! I know the rooms are over sized, the balconies are huge and the view is spectacular and I know the food is delicious. I know the staff goes above and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on a tour of New England. Everything was brilliant, rooms, staff, views. We arrived quite late in the day on 24th September 2013, and we were quite tired. We were welcomed by the reception staff and our luggage was taken to our room, in the meantime we were given a list of recommended places... More

If you said no, you didn't want to leave then we hope that means you will be back again! We all know what it is like to arrive late and just want to eat and relax. We are very good at that eating and relaxing thing too! Some guests arrive thinking we have all those "city" things and even though... More

We stayed here for 4 days while visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia. The rooms were huge and comfortable with a great view of the bay. The staff was great and had good answers to any questions we had, ranging to where to eat, shop and to rent bikes. Fresh-baked cookies were available in the lobby every afternoon and the free... Thank you for the great review! We have worked hard this year to do our best to have happy guests! My wife and I spent an enjoyable long weekend at the Bayview. I suppose the Bayview would be best classified as an 'Inn', as it is much bigger than a B&B, yet smaller and quirkier than a typical resort hotel. This well-maintained property is located on a busy road about a mile and a half from the central part of... More
