The Inn was well maintained, accommodations comfortable and well appointed, breakfasts and afternoon wine all top-notch. The staff were also very helpful, courteous, and professional. We had a very enjoyable stay.

I highly recommend the Bass Cottage Inn. We stayed in room 7 for 4 nights at the start of our Honeymoon in Maine. The staff is very helpful and accomodating. The inn is beautiful and the food is outstanding. We stayed there during a heatwave and it was VERY HOT both in the hotel ( which is not air conditioned... More

This inn was even more beautiful than the photos on its website, and all of our high expectations were exceeded. Our room (Room 1) was spacious and beautiful, and even though it was on the first floor, in the front of the inn, it was extremely quiet. I would not hesitate to stay in the same room again. Breakfasts were... More

I think everything has already been said about this spectacular Inn in downtown Bar Harbor, but I'm happy to reconfirm: - Absolutely beautiful inn with the perfect balance of historic and modern - Perfect location for walking to all of the downtown restaurants, stores, etc. - Comfy, cozy beds and pillows - Incredibly clean and well maintained - not a... Absolutely wonderful. The Bass Cottage Inn is a beautiful, comfortable and roomy establishment that is walkable to everything in Bar Harbor (including the Acadia free buses). The incredibly kind and knowledgeable staff were helpful without being intrusive, and the wine and snacks with other guests in the early evening and the decadent breakfasts were a delight.

My 29 year old daughter and I stayed at Bass Cottage Inn when we hiked in Acadia National Park. We couldn't have found a better place to stay. The rooms were beautifully appointed, comfortably designed, and decorated with memorable artwork. The chef prepared delicious breakfasts that were hearty yet gourmet (don't miss the banana ricotta pancakes); they kept us going... More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn during the first week of August for 2 nights. While Bar Harbor was not the scene we were hoping for (very busy, several t-shirt vendors) and Acadia had somewhat losts it's beauty in the midst of the tour buses and crowds of people, the Inn made up for it. My wife and... More

From the beautiful rooms to the outstanding service, food, and afternoon treats, this bed and breakfast is a hidden treasure in Bar Harbor. It is convenient to everything, and there is even parking! Yes, each room has a "unique" price, and we did wish there was a printer and computer available downstairs. They do provide endless amenities, including chocolates in... More

Bass Cottage Inn is charming. Nestled behind the busiest street in Bar Harbor and only steps from the ocean, park, shops and fine dining you feel like you are in another world. The location is perfect. We stay at Inns exclusively when we travel and this Inn is our favorite. We returned this year to find the same attention to... More

I won't echo all that has been said in prior reviews about this incredibly special place, except to say that it is deserving of the raves. The Inn is spectacular, the setting gorgeous, and the food scrumptious. Within minutes we arrived at the inescapable conclusion that the Inn was meticulously and lovingly restored to its current splendor. Our room was... More
