My husband and I stayed at the Bass Cottage Inn in mid October to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. We had a lovely stay at the Inn and would highly recommend it. It is perfectly situated in Bar Harbor - close to restaurants and shops and is only a 10-15 minute drive from Acadia National Park. The Inn is... More

Once my (now) wife and I decided to head to Bar Harbor for our honeymoon in October, the Bass Cottage Inn very quickly caught our eyes. After seeing many positive reviews, we went ahead and booked a room to make sure we got a spot. In short, we were definitely not disappointed! The assistant innkeeper, Susan, called to make sure... We returned yesterday from our first trip to Maine. Our first stop was at the Bass Cottage Inn in Bar Harbor on October 14th and 15th. I selected the Inn from reviews and it surpassed all our expectations. Terry and Jeff were warm and welcoming as well as very knowledgeable about the area. The inn itself is beautiful-- the room... We stayed at Bass Cottage Inn for three nights in October. Location of the inn is perfect -- close to the town and restaurants and easy access to Acadia National Park. The inn has been impeccably restored and furnished without the "frou frou" that is often found in a B&B. We stayed in Room #10 (Salt and Pepper), which was... More

It was so nice to read this recent review from these guests from North Carolina. We see that they enjoyed our great location (near the harbor, just off Main Street but on a quiet lane) and our lack of "frou frou" found in many other B&Bs. As with our breakfasts, we always strive for the "out of the ordinary" or... More

We have been the second time in Bar Harbour, but this was the place to stay. The Bass Cottage Inn is centrally located close to the Harbour and in walking distance to many nice restaurants and shops. Our room (Lavendar) was kept in white and blue and although it was small, we enjoyed our stay very much. The owners are... More

We stayed at the Bass Cottage Inn in October and very much enjoyed wine hour both in the front sitting room and one of the back rooms where we appreciated the ambiance provided by the fireplaces and inviting sofas. On this trip we were staying in lots of inns and hotels and B&B so before posting any review I thought it best to wait until the end of our trip so we could compare. Before arriving at this pretty place I was sure it would be a five but it just didn’t quite work for us. The location in... More

We stayed for three nights at the Bass Cottage Inn and loved it. Jeff and Terri (the innkeepers) and especially Susan were very friendly, cordially and welcoming.
