Even when making the reservation, my husband was happy with the service at the desk. What I wanted most was a great view of the Ocean and that is what I got. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The view over looking the bay was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed in a unit with a small kitchen area. Large, very clean rooms and good position to town easily in walking distance however a courtesty bus is available every half an hour. Very good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. more

Staying at the Lodge, it is really important to ask for a room in the upper floors. The view there is fantastic and we enjoyed every morning a wonderful sunrise. The stuff is very friendly and supports you with many tips. The rooms are spacious and convenient. With the car it takes five minutes to the centre of Bar Harbor. more

Stayed Sept. 11-15, 2009, as our base to day hike Acadia National Park. We enjoyed everything about it -- from the fabulous 4th floor view to the spotlessly clean bathroom, good-size room, and the free breakfast. 5 minutes to Acadia and 2 minute-drive to downtown shops.
