My wife and I stayed at Acacia House Inn for 3 nights in August 2014. Ralph welcomed us during a late arrival (9pm) and helped carry our luggage to the room. We stayed in Room 3 which was nicely appointed and extremely clean. Visiting from NYC where we live in a 1 BR, the bathroom in Room 3 was gigantic.... More

This review is long overdue. My husband and in-laws stayed here in September 2013. I'm from Maine (currently live in New Mexico) and we were meeting up with all my relatives in Bar Harbor for a visit. Our stay at Acacia House could not have been more perfect. The location is amazing -- a short and pleasant walk from "downtown"... More

One can feel stress disappear with greetings from Ralph upon entering. "Laid back", accommodating, and other calmly-at-your-service adjectives made this a real vacation. No in-room phone (wonderful), but wifi. Cool breeze and a/c when not. Fresh-from-his-oven, afternoon baked goods are worth every calorie; tea and coffee always available. Anna's breakfasts are absolutely out of this world. Love the squeaky wooden... More

For our 4 night stay in Bar Harbor, we chose to stay at Acacia House Inn, based on the reasonable prices and the excellent reviews. The B&B did not disappoint! Our room (#3) was spacious, comfortable, BIG bathroom, and the deck off the bathroom was fantastic for wine or tea under the stars. The bed was very comfortable, which was... More

I reviewed Acacia House just three weeks ago but the review has since disappeared so I will try again. My wife and I stayed here from June 8-16, 2014. She had to leave because of a family emergency and came back four days later. Ralph and Anna and their staff were so helpful, kind, and sympathetic during this time. We... More

Great stay in Bar Harbor. recommend staying at least 3 nights to explore Acacia National Park. Easy to rent bikes and bike in or take the shuttle and hike in. Did not need our car. Stayed in 3 rd floor rooms 5 and 6. A little hot at night.

I have Celiacs Disease so when choosing a B and B, my first question is always can I eat the breakfast you're serving? The couple who runs this B and B is the BEST. They went so far above and beyond (to the point of serving gluten free snacks - such as fresh baked macaroons). I really loved this cozy... More

Right in the middle of lovely Bar Harbor, the Acacia House Inn was a real treat. We turned up in Bar Harbor without a booking and did a bit of a ring round some local B and Bs. The Acacia was the only one flexible enough to offer an extra bed in the room for our child. And what luck... More

I'm glad I found this lovely b&b so close to the main drag in Bar Harbor. It's clean and chic inside, the rooms are nicely decorated. There is a nice sitting room downstairs for lounging. The mattress and pillows were amazing, and the windows nicely shaded, so I slept really well here! Breakfast was incredible... so many options to choose... More

Oh my, we're on it! Thank you for bringing the leak to our attention - the plumber has the upstairs wall ripped apart, the leak has been found and is being fixed as we speak, and Ralph has sound proofing tiles ready to install. Ralph has tried every carpenter's trick for the floors, but the 130 year old stairs are,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in room 9. Ralph and Anna were some of the nicest innkeepers we've ever met, they clearly love their job and talking with guests. Breakfast was incredible, and more than expected. It was great to be within walking distance of everything yet the location itself was quiet. There were lots of small touches that... More
