Arrived to an outdated, disgusting, humid, mildew smelling room. The carpet actually was wet and "squished" as we walked on it. Could not pur luggage (or anything) on the floor. We pulled in from a 6 hour drive from Rhode Island to a nightmare. This ins not a hotel, but a crappy motel. There is no privacy. The parking lot is directly in front of the rooms. There is only 1 window in the room and if you have the blinds open people will be walking by or parking directly... more

Not sure what these other reviews are talking about. Sure the place is dated and needs an upgrade in terms of paint and carpets but it was clean and 5 minutes from downtown and across the street from the bay with awesome views. the hotel was filthy, with lots of bugs. Seemed the housekeeping staff never did anything but change the linens. It was noisy outside as the rooms are right directly on the main road into Bar Harbor. We stayed one very uncomfortable night there, then quickly booked into the Bar Harbor Regency across the street. more

We can only agree with previous comments. Stained carpets, mildew and strange odours, dirty bathroom, no dining room and no internet (which would have been very helpful to find and switch to another hotel). It was our first stay in Bar Harbor (just a couple of days on our way to Nova Scotia) but it will not be the last... more

So so stay. Not the best location. Views were of the ferry terminal across the street. Right on the road so noisy, rooms worn out, no pool. Terrible traffic noise. The coffee maker did not work, the sink drain was plugged. The noise from the people upstairs was neverending. Room was,small and shabby, not worth the rate charged. Breakfast choices were minimal and no room to sit., so we went out. Not up to par with other Days Inn's we have stayed at. more
