Hotel is located right on the main road into Bar Harbor so plenty of road noise. Place needs lots and lots work; broken windows, mold, carpet, etc. You have to sit sideways on the toilet to use the sink. Parking can be a premium when they are busy. Seating is very limited for the no-frills free breakfast.

After a four and a half hour drive from Peterborough to Toronto (usually one and a half) due to snow and a five hour delay in Philadelphia due to backlogs, when we arrived in Bangor we phoned Days Inn to make sure we could check in late. “Yes, no problem “, said the man on the phone, “I’m here all... Nice place to stay when in Bar Harbor, Maine. Great view of bay and cruise ships anchor right in front of the motel. Rooms are clean and maids are very accommodating. Early morning continental breakfast was great. Front desk was always ready and willing to make your stay enjoyable.

My girlfriend and I visited Acadia National Park over Columbus Day weekend. We booked this motel even though it had some poor reviews and hoped for the best. We were pleasantly surprised with everything! The room was clean (yes, even the bathroom), and the bed was massive and comfortable. There was no odor and the AC/heating unit worked perfectly. To... Our room was disgusting, dusty and moldy. No windows opened to allow any type of ventilation. Mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Door to get into room we had to shoulder push it to even open it. Internet was temperamental. We have come to love the Bar Harbor area however we will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

Okay, we're not hoodwinked very often, but this motel (not hotel) totally misled us. The photos on the website are of a nice clean, updated, spacious hotel. What we found upon arrival was a out of date, moldy, saggy, stale motel in need of much repair. You could hear every noise through the paper thin walls, smell every other inhabitant... More

I've never stayed at a Days Inn before, but this was the cheapest place I could find to stay at in Bar Harbor that had good recent reviews. It was about $122 a night for October, right at the end of the tourist season and just before a bunch of shops and restaurants start to close down. Pros: + Comfortable... More
