This campground is great for families with kids. Very quite in the evenings, clean facilities, washrooms conveniently located. The swimming pool was open all day. The showers had hot water all the time! The free shuttle into Bar Harbor was a great service, parking in town during peak season is very difficult. All tent sites were private and treed.

Hadley Point is on the north end of Mt Desert Island. The entrance to Acadia National Park is about a 10-15 drive away; Bar Harbor about another 5 minutes on. This park sprawls over several acres and the spaces vary quite a bit. Most big rig spaces are on or are tucked into the woods surrounding a large open area.... More

This was our first visit to Mount Desert Island and our first camping trip with our kids, four- year - old twins. We had a wonderful vacation and my boys wanted to stay forever. The campground was very nice, but we will probably camp elsewhere next visit to the island. Here's my list of pros and cons: CONS: -The campground... More

Hadley's Point is the first campground I've ever stayed in, so this might be a little biased. Our tent site was on the B loop. We chose a site with no water or electric, and I think I would pony up the extra $10/night for that next time. The office folks were friendly, the bathrooms and showers were clean, and... More

On our recent trip to Maine we stayed at five different campgrounds from Bar Harbor to Kennebunk. We stayed here for two nights. If I could have adjusted my itinerary to stay here longer I would have stayed. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. They are on the Island Express system which was great for getting into Bar Harbor... More

We have been coming to Hadley's for many years. Not only is it clean and safe, but the owners are kind and so generous. They are hospitable. We have tented and stayed in the cabins, and both have been nothing short of fantastic. The only downside is that it's very difficult to get a cabin. Besides this, this is one... More

I was prepared to give Hadley's Point Campground rave reviews until the following incident occurred. We stayed three nights at Hadley's Point. The third night we had to change sites which wasn't an issue. At 10:30 a.m., the morning of the site change, we asked at the office if the new site was ready and if so, could we move... More

This place gets excellent reviews, we met people who come back year after year, but we just don't get it. We camped in an open grassy field a few feet from 5 other campers. This place has more employees that maybe every other place we've camped combined, and it's constant activity. Staff trucks, 4 wheelers, vans and tractors driving around... More

This was a wonderful place to camp! The sites are all very well maintained and clean. Bathrooms were immaculate and cleaned multiple times during the day. The showers were clean and there were plenty of them. We camped in a tent and felt completely safe and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

I have been visiting Hadley's Point Campground since I was 12. My husband abs I have taken or children here for 20 years. The family owned and operated atmosphere makes you feel like family too. It is always a trip we look forward to, it is quiet, pet friendly, had hasbeautiful wooded camp sites, a heated pool, laundry mat and... More
