We stayed in one of the smallest and remote units the offered and still thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The owners are most gracious and friendly folks that make you feel welcome and comfortable immediately. The grounds are fun to explore. The dock and free row boats are great and the minor cost for renting a kayak to explore the bay... More

From the moment you make your reservation, Paul and Julie go out of their way to give you the best possible experience. Not just at the cottages, but on the island as a whole. They recommended hikes and activities based on our interests, the weather, etc. They have many board games to loan out to the various cabins and the... More

If you want to avoid the noise of Bar Harbor and enjoy a quiet "get away" on the sea (Emery Cove) this is the place. Clean, comfortable cabins tucked into the woods with kitchens to cook your lobster, comfortable beds, beautiful screened porches for enjoying the views, rental kayaks to paddle along the shore right out your door and hosts... We stayed in the Garden cottage for a week in August, 2014; it was a delightful experience. Upon arrival, Paul and Julie found out what aspects of Bar harbor / Mount Desert Island we were interested in experiencing and gave us pointers for how best to see them. They lent us a copy of a trail guide book for Acadia;... More

My husband and I were very pleased with our little cottage at Woodland Park Cottages. We stayed in Sea Breeze - a small but charming rustic 1 bed, 1 bath cottage. Paul and Julie were great - offering advice about interesting things to do and see and (importantly) where to park in Bar Harbor. The kayaks provide an interesting way... More

My husband stayed here as a child with his parents and cousins enjoyed it so much returned years later. Rustic but relaxing, beautiful, refreshing, down to earth, elevated camping. Enjoy fishing, kayaking, amazing views. Our future destination for family reunion!

This is our sixth year staying at Woodland Park Cottages with our three children, so clearly we're big fans of this spot in Bar Harbor. The biggest draw is the beautiful cove with large dock and full access to row boats and kayaks. Paddling through the cove at low tide reveals a host of sea life, from star fish to... More

We stayed at the Seabreeze cottage for a week while visiting Acadia National Park. This was a great little cabin! Very basic accommodations and small bathroom, but very cozy and great views from the back deck. The cottages include a small kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, etc. There are some charcoal grills for guests to use. The owners are very... More

Very nice spot to stay while visiting Desert Island and Bar Harbour. Take care when arriving as the entrance is difficult to spot. The row boats are adequate and are nice to take out on the water. Unfortunately, the oars do not have collars which are a necessary safety feature. Ensure children are well attended. The cabin is very nice... More

We've had the great good fortune to have vacationed here over the years. The cabins are very functional, the rooms comfortable, and the hosts professionals and accommodating. . A wonderful launching spot for Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Enjoy coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner on the screen porch overlooking the bay.
