Not a bad choice....good breakfast normal as a lot of hotels.....selection good and food was all good........the hotel itself is 4 to 6 blocks from down town / "Village Green "area.....there are buses but I never saw anyone picked up or dropped off at the hotel...not sure if they'd stop or not anywhere...walked down town at least 6 or more... The hotel was nice, clean, comfortable beds but the best part was the breakfast. It was surprisingly good for a free buffet everything was hot and plentiful the servers kept refilling the steamtrays and even went around refilling your coffe and asking if they could get you anything. Not typical for hotel meals. Every day the selection varied slightly The... More

Lovely spot but the greeting was less than welcoming. We arrived very late after 10 hours drive and checked in with a tremendously unhappy clerk who took great pains to lecture me on travelling with a dog. You see though I had booked at a pet friendly hotel, I failed to advise them I was travelling with a dog and... More

This is a very nice Pet Friendly Hotel in Bar Harbor. The rooms are small, but, very clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast is wonderful; eggs, sausage, French Toast, waffles, bowls of berries, etc.. The best part is the fact that you can park your car here and walk into town.

Their breakfast is wonderful. The staff is good. However, the rooms are very, very worn. We had 4 PEOPLE in our room and we could barely turn around in the bathroom and I think we must of had one of the smallest rooms. However, it WAS on the first floor so that was a huge plus for us. The good... More

I was glad to hear the breakfast was such a good experience for you. We have many guest comment on our breakfast. The hotel is an older style with smaller rooms all which are the same. The King bed room has more space due to the one bed however the 2 queen bed rooms have a feeling of less room.... More

Bar Harbor is an upscale tourist destination and whether you are there for kitsch or the nature, you're gonna pay. The Quality Inn is situated nicely between the commercial area and Acadia Nat'l Park so it can go both ways. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The rooms are well maintained and the price is reasonable.

We appreciate your time in writing a review for others. We are located in a great area for walking downtown or going to the park at any of the 3 entrances near us. Bar Harbor is a true destination creating the higher pricing for the Acadia National Park experience. I was very happy to hear the staff were available for... More

Motel was OK but could use some sprucing up. Included breakfast was a plus. Location was within walking distance of the downtown area. Pool area was elevated from rooms and was well maintained. Price was right for budget stay in Bar Harbor.

Thank you for taking time to write this review. As the new General Manager this season we are working on many improvements. However they take time to complete when we are in the busy season. I was glad to see you enjoyed the pool as it is a very unique pool and many enjoy it. We are very close to... More

My sister and I visited Acadia and stayed at the Quality Inn at Bar Harbor. We were greeted by two friendly women who proceeded to check us in and give us so much information about Acadia Park, Bar Harbor, and activities that we could do. They also provided maps and shuttle schedules. We were very pleased with everyone at the... More

I booked the hotel room rather last minute for the 4th of July, It was the only reasonably priced hotel left in all of Bar Harbor (the other rooms were upwards of $300!) I will admit i was not expecting much. However my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised. We were in a room separate from the main lobby over... More

As the new General Manager this season I was so pleased to see we met and exceeded your expectations. I agree with you with the Birches rooms which are so quiet and set back from the road. We are so happy you enjoyed our wonderful Bar Harbor and all there is to offer on the Island. We look forward to... More

We stayed for 4 days in a pet-friendly room. This place definitely has that somewhat seedy "beach motel" vibe. It was clean enough, but the room smelled strongly like dogs and carpet deodorizer when we walked in the door. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to stay there because I'm sensitive to odors and the carpet deodorizer scent was... More

Thank you for taking time to send a review. Our hotel is older with smaller rooms but as you stated we keep things clean and our pool is a gem. As the new General Manager this 2015 season we were discussing if we would still be pet friendly as the expense is high to maintain rooms with pets is high.... More
