Nice room, great location 10 mins walk into town lots of shops and restaurants many which were starting to close for the season (Last week in oct) reccomend the walk to the small island opposite when tides permit. The chap at the reception was very welcoming and friendly and knowlegable on the local area and acadia national park. its a... More

the worst flea bag hotel on the island. Yes-it's cheap, but when you first check in and open the toilet and find used TP in it-I should have known to check out. Everything is old and cruddy. Breakfast is included=a promotional sign my son saw: Breakfast: hot fresh healthy... To which he responded: "none of the above" Who puts out... More

This was a little gem in the beautiful town of Bar Harbour, only a 10 - 15 minute walk to the center of town and the waterfront. It is a larger facility, with several "villas" in the trees beyond the central Inn building. In the lobby, hot apple cider was available at check-in, coffee and hot chocolate available anytime. Staff were... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights here in October as part of a self-drive New England Tour. Good size clean room with usual facilities (we had a room with one king bed) in a quiet location. Free WiFi (around 5Mb/s when we were there). Friendly, very helpful staff - the Acadia National Park was closed because of the Government... More

Thanks to the front desk person (Elaine?), our stay was better than expected. Her welcome, correction of reservation amount, and suggestion of a good place to eat made our stay especially comfortable. Cost is the only reason I don't give this 5 stars--and it is simply an expensive area to get a room, at this time of year. Everything was... More

We thought the value was poor here; no niceties to justify the price. We'd requested a ground-floor room because of my wife's bad knees, but ended up climbing quite a few stairs. I was also displeased with their 'optional' charge that they add to everyone's bill. Yes, it would be removed if you noticed it (I'm sure many don't) and... More

Made reservations online for two nights and when we arrived the front desk area was very welcoming. The woman at the desk(can't remember her name, but she was from nearby Ellsworth) was so nice and it felt as if she really appreciated us staying there. She had hot apple cider made and it hit the spot on a cool autumn... More

This is one of the best run Quality Inns we have stayed at in a long time. The staff was professional, the rooms generous, the Housekeeping Staff excellent and the smell like home. We stayed for three nights and had nary a complaint. Our building (I believe they have six plus the dining building) was a small four room stand... More

Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean, comfy beds. Guest laundry across the street in the same building as the good breakfast! Desk staff all very nice and helpful. Close to town and Acadia NP entrance.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and found it a good choice, primarily because of the reasonable rates and good location. The stores/restaurants in town are just a short walk away, and it is just a mile or two from the entrance to the NP. The room was clean, had a small balcony, bathroom was clean and... More
