Motel was clean and convenient. WiFi worked well. We walked to town where parking can be hard to find. My biggest complaint was hearing the people upstairs walking around all night. The decor was a little dated but for the convenience to town and Acadia National Park it worked just fine.

wifi not working. I don't mind the no thrills but some of the cost cutting goes too far. I need a real pillow. The beds are doubles some couples might not be able to sleep in these. I could hear a full normal conversation in the hall and neighboring room. TripAdvisor is asking me to add more words so I'll... More

The Anchorage is close enough to Bar Harbor that we could walk to town, shops, restaurants and especially the free buses to attractions in Acadia National Park. The rooms are dated but clean, the wifi was at best so-so. The air conditioner worked fine, the bed though not great was okay (we were able to sleep) the shower was good.... More

Stayed the night here on 11 August 2015. In short, our tent took a dive that was unrecoverable in the rain. The Anchorage had a room - 2 doubles, nonsmoking, $169 before tax (total $189 after). Clean! Good water pressure! Close to the Green! We all slept well, no worries, reasonably quiet (it's a motel for crying out loud, so... More

As stated by many, stay for the great location and acces to downtown Bar Harbor. Mattresses were fifteen years beyond their useful life and although the the rooms were clean, they smelled musty. Also wondered whether they may have allowed pets to stay in the rooms, given allergic reactions and sneezing fits we had. Thin walls, sticky headboards didn't add... More

We stayed at the Anchorage to enjoy the value and the short walk into town. The hotel was clean, which is unlike some other hotels on the island at this price point. But the bed was probably the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. There was no fridge, which I thought was unfortunate. The location was excellent, but I'm not sure... More

The location is great. Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and always great housekeeping services. Great pet friendly place. Will definetely stay again. Always lots to see and do in Bar Harbor and the hotel is walking distance to the centre of town. Property is well maintained.

The front desk staff was friendly, the property was very clean and the rooms were clean. The motel was very quiet and we were there for the 4th of July. We were very impressed and would definitely come back.

A three minute stroll to the Village Green (and Mt Dessert Ice Cream) and 8 minute drive to Park Loop Road, this affordable motel has the basics. Clean, great hot showers, AC that works and reasonable beds. Think "50s" motif and no frills (including no iron or ironing board.) We were out all day and into the night so who... More

But that's about it. It's pretty dated and dingy. It's was fairly expensive for a middle of the week stay, 130. If you want to be comfortable in your room I'd look elsewhere. The front desk called us at 1045am to tell us to leave at 11. It was not a friendly reminder, it was "you need to leave".
