My second stay was even better than my first, since I have become accustomed to the strengths and weaknesses of the hotel. This is my first review. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g60678-d310956-r197559626-Tumon_Bay_Capital_Hotel-Tumon_Guam.html Strengths The Filipina ladies on the counter are really nice kind and friendly. Thank you! Spacious rooms with two queen sized beds. Ocean view on 6th floor, probably 3rd or above with... More

To put it in context, I find Tamuning Plaza and Harmon Loop hotel perfectly acceptable for short stays given their price is between 55-69 a night, because while very basic and dated (and quirky - Harmon Loop has mad Korean lady owner and in Tamuning Plaza's case the hallways are seedy), they are reasonable, fairly clean and convenient. By contrast,... More

We stayed here for 2 weeks and not once did they change our sheets. We expected at least that. They also never cleaned around the room. Every time we asked them to clean it seemed like they just made the bed and left, so there was so much sand and stains by the time we left I was just happy.... More

Tumon Bay Capital Hotel is conveniently located at the center. It looks old and run down from the outside and their rooms are pretty much the same. My friends and I stayed here for two weeks and it was literally just a place for us to sleep. The cleaning ladies didn't replenish our toiletries regularly, they never changed our bed... More

This is the type of place you wish you could buy and re-do as it has a ton of potential. The location is great for the price: short trek downhill to the beach, near the big name resorts. The room is a bit grimy and old - sagging wallpaper and the light switches could use a wipe down. But towels... More

The first thing you notice upon arrival at this property is that there is no bell captain. They have a trolly you can borrow & lug your belongings upstairs yourself. The staff is friendly enough, & will respond to your concerns. When you get to the room, the nice ocean view will be the next thing you notice. Then you... More

Too old for the facilities. The room sells bad, a/c and refrigerator are too noisy, can not sleep when they are on. Water did not go down properly for wash basin and bathtub. Told there was a tooth brush inside the pipe of the washbasin, nobody came to get it out during my 5 days staying there. But somebody did... More

There is a English comment down there too. First stinky room. The TV was broken. And went to talk to workers. They said nothing they can do. I asked them to change the room. Then finally... More

Good view and reasonably priced (by Guam standards). Don't expect much though: the owners neglect the property and there is no service apart from bicycle rentals (no food, no restaurant). Room not too bad though (fairly clean and quiet). All rooms have bay view (which is great). It's quite a hike up for the main street. It must have been... More

We loved Guam and the friendly people we met there, but this hotel is a disgrace. Given the location, outer appearance and room size it seems like it must have been once a nice hotel, but they obviously haven't done any maintenance in a very long time. The front desk staff are unfailingly rude or indifferent, which is jarring given... More
