After reading the reviews, I was questioning if I had made the wrong move selecting the Marriott for our stay on Guam. It's not as bad as it sounds, folks. Overall, I was pleased with the hotel. Then again, I travel quite a bit and have learned to dumb down my expectations. (The entire world is not 5-star, so don't... more

Stayed at Marriott Resort in Tumon Bay and found it to be one of the dirtiest Marriotts I have ever stayed in. Once they took over the hotel about 20 years ago it looks like the only thing they did was hang a picture of JW Marriott in the lobby. The exterior is dirty and in need of a fresh... more

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we had an idea of what to expect from the Guam Marriott Resort and Spa. We were very nervous as the taxi approached the hotel, as we had our four-and-a-half month old daughter in tow. However, the Guam Marriott far exceeded our low expectations, and turned out to be an excellent place to... more

The Marriott Guam does not live up to the Marriott name, or else the Marriott brand is getting really bad. The hotel is very outdated. The rooms themselves are okay, but the bathrooms are terribly and look about 30 years old. In the first room we got, the toilet leaked and there was water under the bathroom floor tiles! After... more

The Guam Marriott is horribly outdated and extremely filthy. This is not apparent from the lobby, but once you get off the elevators and into the rooms, it becomes quite obvious. The carpets are so disgusting you would never walk barefoot on them. The hallways and the rooms smell, and they smell so bad that they have installed those automatic... more

Just returned from 5 nights at the Marriott Hotel in Guam. The best thing about this hotel is it's location. The hotel it's self is run down and outdated. I ate in the steak house one night and it was weak got my steak with no steak knife when I asked for one the bartender said they were out. I... more

I stayed at this hotel for 24 nights and found it to be an overall positive experience. The lobby is very nice looking and welcoming and the front desk staff were always very courteous and helpful. All of the staff I dealt with at the hotel spoke good English. It is accented, but that's to be expected. The rooms are... more

My husband and I went to Guam for a week of vacation. We loved the idea of going on vacation in the "USA" as we are currently expats in China. That being said, our first greeting was by the front desk employees who didn't speak English very well. Now, being an expat I am usually patient but this was rediculous... more

The hotel is good value for money given its location. Room is large, you get a good view of Tumon bay and coastline from the veranda. The front desk personnel are warm and accommodating. If you want to avoid shrieking kids and noisy tourists, then this is the place for you. The free shopping buses, DFS Galleria shuttle service and... more

Business trip to Guam, all the Guam hotels are pretty shabby and overpriced. This time tried the Marriott, and was as usual disappointed. Whatever the normal time is for a hotel remodel, hotels on Guam go for years past these "use by" dates - hallways smelly, carpet crunchy, linens tired and bathroom fixtures leaky and worn out. This hotel has... more
