A hotel that makes you feel grateful to be suffering jet lag. It must be the most stunningly located hotel I've ever seen. The view from the balcony - see pics - is breahtaking. When your body clock is out of kilter staring out into the ocean makes all the pain go away. And when the sun rises over the... More

Very relaxing with a nice island feel. I love the live band that plays every weekend they can really pump up the crowd and even remember some of the guest names. The staff is the best part of the experience they are very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is hand down the best on the island in my opinion, the menu... More

I must respond by saying quite simply: Employees have rights too! Polynesians are extremely hospitable and polite. As a fishing port we have more than our share of Romeo's seeking the affection of Island girls. It is not their nature to complain to Management of unwanted attention but rather ignore the obvious slow learner. It is noted that you did... More

We enjoyed a family trip (all adults) to Am Samoa in what is billed as the rainy season. We had enough rain to get the atmosphere but not enough rain to spoil the fun. Sadies staff met us at the airport and also provided transportation back on our departure. Flights from/to Honolulu are late at night, so Sadies offered us... More

This is a water front hotel located within walking distance to Pago Pago Harbor. The rooms are basic, with a split type noisy AC units. The restaurant offers limited selection of pretty delicious food. The service is reasonable, a bit slow, but the hotel staff are very friendly, and they always smile. The internet service gets interruptions, and is slow.

I spent four nights at this property in early November, 2013 for business, The location of Sadie's is ideal, as it is more central than the Tradewinds. This allowed me fairly easy access to the various locations across Tutuila where I needed to travel each day. In addition, the view and beach access are an extra treat. The exterior hallways... More

Thanks for the informative review. Yes, maintenance is an ongoing chore; all porches and lanais are currently being re-painted and the exterior corridors are just awaiting the arrival of epoxy paint for a much needed face lift. We are constantly striving to enhance our guest experience in American Samoa and your review is sincerely appreciated --Tom. More

Just back from seven nights in American Samoa. Glad I went but wouldn't go again. Sadie's was a great place to stay. Our room had to be no more than fifty feet from the beach. Pick a second story room away from the bar and pool. Do rent a cell phone. 20 cents a minute. Reception as good as my... More

I had to spend two days waiting to pick up a flight to get me back to Sydney last month and the company booked me into Sadie's By the Sea, due to it's proximity to the docks in Pago Pago; was was disembarking a ship. Sadie's is an establishment located at the western end of Pago Pago town, next to the Marine Centre. It is on the main bus routes to anywhere so hiring a car is not a necessary burden for daytime travel, unless you want to investigate destinations a long way out of town. The accommodation wing is two-storied and we chose a... More

The location is near town so it's perfect for walking to restaurants and shops. The hotel is in the process of being updated, and they upgraded the wifi (although weak) to be available in the rooms and not just the reception area. The rooms are spacious with a microwave, small frig, coffee and hot water makers, along with sime dishes.... More

Hello HawaiianBorn69, Thanks for the great review! Yes the band plays Thu-Fri-Sat for restaurant entertainment. It is across the pool from the rooms however is occasionally intrusive. They are supposed to close at 10 but sometimes get a bit carried away especially if there is a group in town enjoying the entertainment. As many of our guests are here on... More
