Makaha is a small resort that is very aged. This is not a recommended hotel for Seniors. The parking is about a quarter mile from the rooms, part of that is inclined. Stayed here a full week. Enjoyed how quiet it was, and liked the fact that it was away from busy, commercial Waikiki. Completed our open water diving at Ocean Concepts. Good staff there. Waianae is not the paradise that you would expect in Hawaii. But when you come upon the resort it all changes. We had a beautiful view with flowers and trees. Rooms were old, dirty full of mice and cockroaches. Staff was horrible un helpful, even swore at us. If you are travelling with kids don't bother have to drive everywhere, will never stay there again, and will never recomend anyone to stay there. more
