We always read the reviews on trip advisor before we go on vacation, and it always amazes me that people's experiences can be so different! We stayed at the Hawaiian Princess from June 27-July 3, 2009. This is my third trip to Hawaii, and I went with my husband. We have previously stayed in Waikiki at the Marriott and a... more

The Condo is a solid hour from the airport and Honolulu. When you arrive, there is a security fence around the propert because you are right in the middle of the worst part of town. There is a security guard on duty (for a reason) The condo itself and the beach are acceptable but there are no real restaurants around... more

Check-in was easy and pleasant. The one bedroom was small, but clean and comfortable. The view of the beach from the lanai was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful. The swimming from this beach while we were there was not good. The waves were high and pounding. We did watch surfers from our lanai. We didn't spend a lot... more

Several years ago we did a time-share trade to the Hawaiian Princess. Our week's experience was perfect and we ended up buying two weeks so we could enjoy the pleasures of this little paradise every year. It is not, however, the perfect place for everyone. We are an older couple who enjoy quiet, peace and lack of crowds and children.... more

Hawaiian Princess / Waianae, Oahu, Hawaii I believe your previously review reports have nailed my thoughts exactly! The parking stalls are obviously way too narrow for any average automobile and the resident manager is quick to critize anyone not parking properly and does so like a military general. Not one time did I ever experience a smile on her face!... more

[-] Been in the hospitality business for quite some time. You operate one class rental arrangement. The many touches, home like decorations, ample sheets and towels, beach accouterments, TV, stereo, DVD player , Internet wireless and other amenities mad it like visiting a friend's home. It clearly was not a stripped down condo. Dishes appliances and amenities were all 5... more

We own several timeshares and did an exchange into this property. This property is away from the downtown area and directly on the beach which was very nice. The beach and ocean are literally the first thing you see when you enter your unit. It's definately an older property, needing some maintenance. We certainly didn't get that 'Aloha' spirit upon... more

We stayed at the Princess for a week in June 08 and the place just blew us away. The Condo was just as clean and beautiful as if it was brand new. The staff was out of sight yet quickly available as needed. The beach location is so private that we left our bedroom doors open all night and slept... more

The 16 story property is located on a beautiful sparsely used beach. The sunsets were beautiful. The water is relatively calm allowing safe snorkeling, although the fish are sparse. We did see turtles on several of the days we were there. The kitchen of our unit had been remodeled, but the rest of the unit was dated. There was a... more

We returned a few weeks ago, and we loved it there the minute we saw the view from the lanai! After traveling for 13.5 hours from WNY we were excited to get to our room; and although it was dark we still thought the room looked great. A lot of the other reviews seemed to focus a lot on the... more
