We live in Hawaii and frequently go to the Ihilani for weddings, events, or just to hang out at the beach. We have never stayed at the hotel ourselves. If you're set on staying on Oahu, but want the relaxing atmosphere of the other islands, I'd recommend this place. Neither the pool nor the beach was ever crowded. nice and quiet place to be, but charge for parking is way to high for (29.00+ tax per day) pool jacuzzi needs repair and upgrade, not a cheap hotel. but it's worth it. rooms are nice and clean, needs new furniture, (chairs, and loveseat out of date) and not comfortable. beautiful sunsets. few steps for a snorkeling experience. Great stay here....fantastic location and grounds. Had some trepedation based on some of the other comments....in actuality the were silly. Room: $179 per night on special (50% off Ocean View Room). Would never stay here again. I wrote an e-mail to the GM and to Marriott Customer Care. Outdated room...terrible experience. Valet Employees were unprofessional and rude.
