If you are looking for a full service hotel, then I suggest you stay on Waikiki or the North Shore. We stayed here twice--the first time, we were in a renovated room with a beautiful view of the canal. The room wasn't what we reserved (they gave us 2 Fulls instead of a King), but we just pushed the two together and were fine with it.
