We loved our stay at Paradise Bay. The small, shoe-horned-in, make-do, very-old, hotel has certain eccentricities that might disappoint people accustomed to staying at cookie-cutter luxury hotels where everything is modern and every detail perfect. If you want a Marriott, stay at a Marriott. If you want an intimate, quiet, warm, fun, comfortable place with big, cozy rooms, friendly service,... More

This hotel is located off the Waikiki busy path, where the whole family can relax and take in the sun. There is a little shopping area where you can get unique gifts for the whole family. A private little beach area where it's calm enough for little children and snorkeling.

I booked this hotel for an island hopping adventure while were were in Hawaii attending a conference. The property is beautiful and out of the way. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, but it was really small (but still ok--however for the price we paid, I would have expected more). Unfortunately, we got a negative feel right off the... More

The room we booked had mechanical problems when we arrived so we had to transfer, but management fixed promptly and comped us dinner. As others have noted, the food--dinners and breakfast--is very good. Our room was more like a suite, with a generous sitting area, kitchen and bedroom--very comfortable. We were not looking for a lot of activity, as our... More

This place was wonderful. At first I was a little put off on how far away it was and the fact that it did not have the normal "resort" commercial feel, but in the end that is what I loved about it. It's so peaceful and beautiful. The breakfast are simple, but great. The free kayak rental was my favorite... More

This was our first time in Hawaii and very impressed with the friendly staff, yoga, breakfast, snorkeling excursion and dinners, plus access to the most beautiful part of Oahu. The lush location feels like Hawaii, yet close to the freeways to enjoy the bustling Honolulu, Waikiki and the other parts of the island.

The understanding and thoughtfulness of the management at Paradise Bay has got to make the service they offer among the best in Hawaii. After being caught in the visa drama the US State department is having, we abruptly needed to change our travel plans. While under no obligation to, the management at Paradise Bay allowed us to make the necessary... More

After reading numerous (both positive and negative) reviews on this hotel, we decided to book our stay here. We have family that live about 20 minutes from the hotel in nearby Kailua. We wanted to be able to visit them without having to travel the long distance from Waikiki (where most hotels are) to Kailua. We stayed from a Saturday... More

Only two positives for this place and that is the setting, very tropical, and our room staff were excellent, check in staff a bit abrupt. Negatives 1. We had to wait as the room was not ready. 2. Walls very thin could hear a pin drop in the next room. 3.This "Resort" is an $85.00 cab ride to Honolulu, so... More

If you arrive at this resort after dark you may think you have made a huge mistake. I certainly did. However, once you arrive it becomes apparent that this resort is a bit of a sheep in wolf's clothing. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful and check-in was easy if a bit tedious. They certainly make sure you... More
