The resort sits on a canal/river which flows into a large gentle bay with mountains rising in the distance off the bay. We were upgraded when we checked in to an ocean front room and it was spectacular. Our own lanai/deck right on the waters edge with comfortable seating to take in the view and tranquility. The resort offers kayaks,... More

Prior to booking, it was between Paradise Bay and a swanky resort on Waikiki beach. This was going to be our first (and likely only) time visiting Hawaii, so we wanted to make the most of it--we wanted to either be on the water or at least have an ocean view. However, certain amenities were also important to me: parking,... More

This was our first trip to Hawaii for my sister, mother, and I. We came to attend a family wedding in Kanoehe. We were surprised to learn that there were NO hotels nearby, so we did some checking on the internet. Wow was there a varity to choose from in Honolulu but we wanted to be closer so we started... I stayed for three nights and it was a blast. It is a very private spot and the staffs are just wonderful. Downside was I should have rent a car at the airport instead of taking the cab to the resort then rent, its location is far from the airport and the city. You should know you get no nightlife... This place is definitely a little piece of paradise, and a glimpse of the real Hawaii. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a room they called the treehouse-#61. What a treat. Our own covered lanai, looking out on a small canal where we could watch the birds come and go all day long, and watch the light play upon the... More

I agree with other reviews - adding the 'resort' on the end is very confusing and produces expectations. However, we stayed a week and overall had a great time. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The tranquillity it amazing. The worst part was the food. The breakfast leaves much to be desired.... More

Aloha, Thank you for your review. Glad to hear you enjoyed the tranquility of the property, it really is a peaceful place to relax. We recently got a new chef and I promise you, our food quality has improved 100%. Thank you for your suggestion on removing the "resort" from our name, it has been discussed with our owners and... Paradise Bay Resort is a pleasant place, and they are trying. But you should know what you are getting. This is a small rural hotel on the windward (green, rainy) coast of Oahu with clean rooms and breakfast. It is in a residential neighborhood on a spit of land, along an inlet a bit north of He'eia, several minutes' drive... More

Aloha, Mahalo for taking time to share your thoughts on your recent visit. The tree that was cut down was to improve the views from the room behind it. Breakfast is offered for free and serves as a convenience for most guests. I don't disagree with you, the food around here is amazing! Beach towels and safes are at the... More

We recently spent 2 nights at the Paradise Bay Resort. I knew nothing about the property, leaving the booking to my partner. I had no idea what to expect. After the slow slog from Waikiki (traffic) we headed down the residential street to the hotel. At first I was not sure we were in the right place. We easily found... More

We brought clients here, specifically because of the photos of the grounds, as well as its vicinity to the Kualoa Ranch. We were a bit disappointed when we drove into the neighborhood and found that it was not actually on the beach, but hovered over an inlet instead. It was still pretty, but not what we or our client had... More

Aloha, Mahalo for sharing your experience with us. Glad to hear you enjoyed your overall experience with us. Like all tropical islands, we have our share of bugs, but we do take preventive measures by doing monthly pest control treatments. We look forward to hosting you again on your return trip to our beautiful island. With Warmest Aloha, Earl More
