My wife and I have stayed in dozens of B&B's throughout the U.S. and Canada. If you want a quiet, friendly B&B with a beautiful setting, this is the place. It is a two room B&B with a lovely enclosed yard, pool and view of the mountains. Bob and Jeanette are wonderful hosts and staying here is like spending a... More

My husband and I just returned from traveling in the islands for a month. We stayed at the Papaya B&B for three nights. The host, Bob and his wife were very nice and the B&B was nicely maintained. If I had any suggestions it would bea better breakfast, perhaps some fruit and danish from the local bakery. A little local... More

Bob and Jeanette are the perfect hosts at this charming B&B! The room was clean and comfortable, with a pleasant, island feel. The outdoor covered patio is also just great, with cushy chairs and a nice assortment of books (both guidebooks and novels). Lovely pool and view of the mountains, and Bob has done a terrific job with the landscaping!... More

Bob and Jeanette are a lovely couple, very welcoming and helpful. Accommodations were clean and tidy, pool was refreshing. Poolside room had bonus "private" patio table and chairs looking out to a wonderful view of the Koolau mountains. Breakfast was simple toast/bagels and butter/cream cheese, falling within the Oahu B&B regulations. Beds left a little more to be desired, but... More

My mother and I spent a very relaxing week at Papaya Paradise. The owners were gracious and friendly hosts, making us feel right at home in their home. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing -- our room was private and well equipped, and the owners provided a large lanai (porch), kitchen area and pool for their guests. Breakfast on our... More

The owners of the B & B are a couple who have bee nmarried for over 40 years. They are really delightful...accomodating and so excited to have guests. Their house is well-maintained and clean. The guest suite is comfortable and beachy. They have beautiful views of the Koolau mountains. They also make the best coffee in town...Bob's special brew :)

... to return to this place. we felt the need for a break, and we felt there was only one place to go: Papaya Paradise. No sense in repeating what has been said many times about the rooms before, the pool, the garden, the kitchen area - it's just perfect, it's a tremendous B&B. Bob and Jeanette were wonderful once... My wife and I enjoyed our first B&B experience, here at the Papaya Paradise. We wanted a quiet and private, non-hotel experience, and this was absolutely the place to find it! Plenty of frills: a fair-sized movie selection in the room, pool, beautifully landscaped guest-only area, and lots of books - both fiction and local guidebooks. Quite obviously, Bob and... More

My daughter and I were in Kailua visiting my boys who go to college there and we wanted a simple place to stay in the evenings--Papaya Paradise was it. If you are looking for clean, simple and friendly faces (Bob and Jeanette) then this is your ticket. The only drawback is that in order to keep it simple and quiet,... More

This was our fourth stay at Papaya Paradise. The owners are helpful with information about Kailua and Oahu but not intrusive. The amenities are attractive , clean and inviting especially the swimming pool and the breakfast area. It is an easy walk to the beach and to town but far away from the frantic pace of Waikiki. An ideal location... More
