We had a great stay in the Lanikai Garden Studio. Great location and beautiful accommodations. Rick and Nini make you feel like family. Even with the hot weather and no air conditioning the studio was very comfortable. We would recommend the Garden Studio to anyone looking for a romantic getaway (even if your there on a house-hunting trip).

Sure Waikiki is nice...just to say you went there and to see what all the fuss is about. But if you want a real Hawaiian vacation and just want to relax on a beautiful almost secluded beach away from all the frantic tourists, stay with Rick and Nini in their Garden Studio. Everything is provided for you from nice beach... More

Stayed here with my family of three (2 adults and a 7 year old) and couldn't have asked for better accommodations. We love the Kailua/Lanikai area and prefer it to Honolulu for the laid back, kama'aina feel while still only 20 minutes away from the city. The Treehouse was exactly as described and the location was perfect - literally just... More

We're glad that everything was to your expectation, as we we try very hard to make sure that what we advertise, is what you will experience upon arrival. We encourage guests for feedback so we can continue to improve on on our property and the guest experience while here with us. This August was hot, and yes once the sun... More

I was a last minute reservation after deciding the bustle of Honolulu wasn't for me. Luckily there was a cancellation so the stars aligned. Rick and his wife are amazing hosts. They really provide everything you need and it's all included in the price: parking, umbrella, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, snorkel gear, dry bag, recommendations on dining...check! I fell... Mary, it was a pleasure to host you for the time you were here in Lanikai. I am certain that you saw the entire island and are now very familiar the town of Kailua and our neighborhood of Lanikai. Thank you for the photo of your standup adventure to off-shore Mokulua Islands. Our beach access has been repaired and is... More

My family of four (kids ages 11 and 16) stayed in July. Everything about the tree house was great. Rick, Nini, and family were incredibly welcoming--they would offer us fresh fruit from the trees, snorkels, and beach equipment whenever we needed it and sometimes before we even realized we needed it! The house was clean, quiet, and exactly as advertised.... More

Patrick and family, It was our pleasure to host the four of you for the few days that we had available between guests. Please do keep us in mind for a future visit. Remember, mango season is mid June, to mid July every year! Thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate hearing from our guests. Aloha, Rick &... More

Having grown up in the Kailua/Lanikai area, it is always nice to returrn to my childhood home.. But it is even greater when you can stay at "The Best" place with absolutely the "Best Host". Rick & Nini simply can not be topped by any B&B in the Islands. 'The studio apartment is perfect for all couples, old and young... More

We returned for another vacation at the Lanikai Garden Studio. It is a perfect studio apartment. Spacious and well equipped. It is clean, comfortable, and attractively decorated. It stayed cool the whole time we were there because there is a nice cross breeze thru the louvered windows as well as ceiling fans. The garden lanai (small enclosed yard) with umbrella... More

Just finished our magical vacation in Lanikai with my husband and twenty-something kids. What a wonderful property and hosts! The "Tree House" is actually the upper floor of Rick & Nini's home but is truly surrounded by trees. In fact, you need to slightly duck under the mango tree to climb the stairs! (Plus lots of fresh mangoes to eat.)... More

Love this sheltered location away from the Waikiki crowds in beautiful Lanikai. Accommodations are five star...clean and equipped with everything needed in a home away from home. The furnishings are very attractive and comfortable providing a relaxing stay. The tradewinds drifting through the Tree House were delightful. Rick and Nini are wonderful hosts who have thought of everything necessary to... More

My husband & I loved the garden studio! It was perfect for us. Clean and so comfortable & Hawaiian. Loved the lanai! Rick & Nini are gracious hosts, both have the true spirit of Aloha. Lanikai Beach may be a bit thin due to severe storms this winter past, but it's sheer beauty makes up for it. If we return,... More
