Our family of four stayed in the Hale Mauka unit here for 5 days in August 2015.The managers who run the place were nice, the unit seemed recently cleaned, and the ocean is right in your backyard, but the unit itself was somewhat of a disappointment overall. It clearly hasn’t been updated in many, many years, and there are chips... More

My wife and I spent 4 days at the Molokai studio and loved it. It's a bit rustic, but it was perfect for what we wanted. The staff was wonderful and quickly took care of the only "problem" we had when we arrived (the sliding glass door was not closing properly - and they immediately fixed it as well as... More

We were in the "Spray" efficiency. The location of the unit was great and the furnishing detail done well! Enjoyed the kayak but especially being right on the water. Truly had spray coming at high tide that come over the seawall. There was a full moon that was beautiful that made the tide slightly higher. Price was good and owner... More

I have never been to Hawaii before but wanted to stay away from Waikiki/Honolulu because it is so crowded and touristy. So glad we did! We rented a two-bedroom condo on the beach. It had a comfortable living room with two futons as sofas and a decent kitchen. Each bedroom had comfortable queen beds with the front most bedroom overlooking... More

We are absolutely in love with this property! We stayed in one of the oceanfront units, and we had a wonderful stay. You just can't get more oceanfront than this, and one of the many highlights was the waves splashing onto our deck every day. The jacuzzi that sits less than 10' from the ocean was one of my favorite... More

Met up here with other family that rented a total of three units. Only one of the units performed as it should for the entire week we were there. Our unit, the Kamai, had a plumbing leak that was discovered very early on in our stay. Second floor sewage leaked down into our bathroom and if you timed things wrong... More

We stayed here in the 3bd/1ba unit. We were in Hawaii to celebrate our 25th anniversary with our 2 adult children and one of my son's girlfriends. This place is very special. To be this close to the ocean for the price was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and Rea was very attentive and helpful during our check in. The... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and were absolutely amazed at how close we were to the ocean. At high tide, the waves were lapping on our deck! It's a cute place and was very clean. However being so close to the sea, maintenance issues need to be ongoing. My husbands chair went thru a large gap on the deck,... More

I spent 7 months on O'ahu and stayed at Hale Ko'olau during my last month. I wish I would have found this gem sooner. If you're looking for real Hawaii, this is the place to be. I had the pleasure of staying on three of the properties and I must say, Kuai Kai's one bed one/bath was my favorite. At... More

I am a returning visitor to hale koolau. My first experience was so wonderful we came back and brought my family for my mothers birthday. I will spare the details, but the man Dave has no customer service skills. He moved all of our belongings while we were gone without our permission into a different room. He was so angry... More

I'm not at all surprised by this 1 star review. The facts are really quite different than they've stated. These guests originally booked a small non-oceanfront 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom rental but on their day of arrival we discovered that the kitchen sink was backed up. Because of this we offered them a complimentary 4 day upgrade to a larger... More
