Unlike some other reviewers, I felt the location is fine. No matter where you stay on Molokai, you're going to be driving a little bit to get to the rest of the attractions. From the Blue Goose, you are quite close to Papohaku Beach, a beautiful 3 mile long beach with lovely smooth sand and barely anyone there. It's a... More

Although I found Jim and Sue wonderful hosts I cannot get past the BG being so far from anything. Although I do it at home, I hated driving 20+ minutes through nothingness for meals and attractions while passing other places to stay. Unfortunately, Maunaloa is a dying town. Nothing worth the long drive survived a ranch closing a few years... More

Only if you are desperate. Not good value for the money. Maunaloa is a dying town, only 2 businesses left. Finding the BG is difficult, no signage, owners are trying to sell. Minimal furniture, ants in the dirty shared kitchen. Don't drink the water.

If you're looking for a charming peaceful place to enjoy your stay in Molokai, this isn't it. The owners were pleasant enough, but not very welcoming, and the entire place needs refurbishing. When I arrived, there was a note pasted on the front door welcoming the week's visitors. Mine wasn't on it (but should have been), and never during my... More

We stayed 3 nights here. The hosts are very nice and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The price is likely the most reasonable on the island. This place is only about 7 years old but the design makes it feel much older. The room was small with a private porch. The screening was such that you could not see... More

My wife and I just got back from a week on the Big Island and 2 nights on Molokai and the Blue Goose was a great place to stay. We were a little worried when we arrived and there was no sign for the establishment -- and there was actually a "for sale" sign on the front of the property.... More

The Blue Goose looks like a house from the outside. The guest rooms are on the ground floor, and the owner lives on the second floor. The rooms are clean and well kept. The furnishings are sparse. There's no TV. The room has a desk, a bed, and screened patio. The guest rooms have a common kitchen area that has... More

We stayed at the Blue Goose for 6 nights and we'll never stay at another place on Molokai again. We are a super socially awkward couple, so if course the only problem we had was figuring out what time to do breakfast! It's easiest to just let Sue know in advance what time is good for breakfast and just set... More

Background: My husband and I traveled to Molokai for a sporting event. The Blue Goose Bed & Breakfast was suggested to us by a friend. Booking/Arrival: We made our reservation by phone. We arrived at the inn after 4 pm and our room was ready. We were greeted by Sue (one of the inn owners) and she was very friendly.... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on a recent trip to Molokai and were impressed by the B&B. We were the only guests during our stay and the owner (Sue) was extremely friendly. The rooms were generously portioned and the wifi in the room was excellent. There is a communal fridge for storing juice and our room... More
