First - if you're visiting Molokai for anything other than a quiet, peaceful escape or fantastic hiking/scuba/snorkelling - don't go. This island is beautiful, half tropical half ranch, but other than its natural beauty, has nothing to offer other than a quiet and relaxing escape. We spent six days on Molokai at the end of July. Paniolo Hale is located... more

Our visit to Molokai was fantastic. Like other reviewers, we were a bit nervous about our accommodations given the mixed reviews, but our stay in unit T2 was great. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. I loved the view out of the upstairs bedroom--flowering tree by day and stars by night. The large screened lanai made everything feel very... more

This was my first visit, my husband had been before. We live in Kona HI and are used to the critters of the tropics. The kitchen must be kept CLEAN, cans and bottles rinsed out, and rubbish taken out every nite. We stayed in unit Q2, very nicely decorated, and clean. We booked thru the vacation rental agency, and they... more

After having stayed in beautiful I2 the previous year, we wanted to return to Paniolo Hale, this time with more family. We chose F3 because of its oceanfront location, and because the description and photos indicated 3 bedrooms, able to accommodate the 5 adults and one child we were expecting to bring. Well, good thing two cancelled at the last... more

Our stay in unit O-1, dubbed by the owners as "the only one," was the worst experience we've ever had with accomodations in all our travels. The first night a rodent scurried through the upstairs bed. It took some doing but we steered it out the balcony door. On closer inspection we found rodent dropping throughout the upstairs including in... more

Wow! What a dream destination. We stayed in unit I-1 which had a beautiful ocean view from a wrap-around screened in porch (this is a corner unit). The unit was spacious, complete with cathedral ceilings and multiple glass doors that folded to give us a very open feel to the porch. It was tastefully decorated and included updated appliances. The... more

Sitting here watching the sunset over the ocean from K-2 couldn't be sweeter. After leaving the hectic pace of Maui we are really enjoying the laid back pace of Molokai. Each day we have wandered down to play golf (tee times no problem! and the price is right!) at the Kaluokai Golf course. It is true each condo is very... more

We had a wonderful vacation at Paniolo Hale. The grounds were lovely, the pool never crowded and our unit cool and peaceful. There are no geckos in Canada; we enjoyed them and understand they keep down bugs which exist in great numbers in all tropical climates. You don't need to worry about stepping on them. They move far faster than... more

We stayed in unit I-2. The next door neighbor kept walking past our doorway trying to peek in, smile and say "hello." Despite her apparent friendly concern; we would've appreciated the privacy that we had gone there to enjoy. Paniolo Hale I-2 was a big spacious screened, enclosed studio. However, there were ants all over the kitchen and bath counters... more

We stayed at unit F2 of the Paniolo Hale during the last week in January. It is a one bedroom two bath middle condo with screened in lanai and an extra double bed in the living room. The good: spacious with a great ocean view, comfortable furniture (especially the bed), upgraded appliances (including a Maytag Neptune washer/dryer), cable TV with... more
