My husband and I wanted to visit a place in Hawaii that is far away from city life. We found Molokai to be a quiet little island in Hawaii. We love the simplicity and serenity of the whole island. And to top it all, I think we found the best place to stay. Our hosts, Tom & Karyl have a... More

We were only on Molokai for three days, two nights. This place was one of the best places to stay. Tom and Karyl were great! The day we did the mule ride, they woke up special for us and made us a delicious breakfast! We stayed in the king size room and we sank right into bed. Even though there... More

Molokai is still the Hawaii that I remember from the `50s and this comfortable home and hosts Karyl and Tom exemplify why Molokai is called The Friendly Isle. Tom is extremely knowledgable about the island and will spend as much time as you like helping you plan your visit. Karyl is in charge of making sure everything is in place... More

Molokai is truly the "old Hawaii" that we had experienced when we lived there in the 60's, and Tom and Karyl exemplify the "Aloha Spirit." When we met them, Tom was in shorts and an Aloha shirt and Karyl in a muumuu, showing us immediately that they know how to live Hawaiian. Tom and Karyl were most gracious, assisting us... More

My travel partner and I spent three nights at the Komohana in June, 2014. The breakfasts are excellent. The room was a bit cramped compared to what I like. The B&B has two rooms that share a bathroom. The other room was unoccupied during our stay. Maunaloa had no operating restaurants when we were there, so lunch and dinner involved... More

A beautiful home in a pleasant setting, with a picturesque view. The room was lovely and we had our own bathroom and shower. Tom was a wonderful host and a great breakfast cook. He knows Molokai well and provided a wealth of information about the island and its treasures waiting to be discovered by my friend and I during our... More

My wife and I have now visited the USA on three occasions and during our lengthy trips we have treated ourselves to stays at B and B's. We therefore feel we DO have reasonable experience of such accommodation. Molokai Komohana is NOT a true B and B. There is no separate living/dining/sitting area for guests and although the bathroom was... More

Let me start off with addressing the review from November 9, 2013. I don't doubt the truth in what that reviewer stated, however the owners obviously read the review and have fixed/corrected on almost all those points. The home is lovely and in a great spot that is quiet. It's only about 15 minutes to the main town and has... More

We stayed in October 2013 and I meant to review then. We very much enjoyed our three nights. Molokai is a beautiful island. Karyl's suggestion s were very helpful. The breakfasts were incredible in our opinion. The accomodations were very nice. While I wasn't sure about it when I arrived, we loved it by the time we left and almost... More

I stayed three nights here in March 2014 and I was well looked after. The generous cooked breakfast after a big bowl of local fresh was enjoyed on the veranda with a superb view of the north west coast of the island viewed from 1000 feet up. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were well equipped. Karyl gave... More
