We stayed in Unit A215 at Molokai Shores in April 2008. The unit was immaculate and very well equipped with anything that you may need. We booked directly with the owners which was a very pleasant experience. The unit was reasonably priced and located close to the main town which had small markets with most everything. Overall, our experience was... more

Let me preface this review by saying that friends of ours slept on the ground at the canoe club in Kaunakakai. After staying at the Marc Molokai Shores, that would have been a better option for us! A much less expensive one as well. My first clue should have been that my credit card was charged upon check-in. We hiked... more

We stayed at Molokai Shores. The project grounds are maintained well and the view of the ocean nice. The units vary based on owner's willingness to upgrade. Ours was satisfactory, unit 227, but nothing special at all. We happened to arrive when the pool was being drained and cleaned. Nothing, at all, happens here. No swimming beach, no food, nothing... more

On the outside, Molokai Shores was beautifully maintained. We only wish the inside matched. The first unit was uninhabitable -- broken furniture, torn curtains, dirty. The second was somewhat better but there was a huge flying insect, dead ants on a light fixture, and a very stained carpet and uncomfortable sofa bed. Both rooms were noisy -- noise from the... more

Molokai Shores is not for the picky or faint of heart. The interior is old, has not been updated in decades, the fixtures are old, and it's not all that clean. However, as a home base in Molokai, it's fine. Molokai isn't known for service or ambiance, and the Molokai Shores is a good reflection of the island--rough around the... more

My husband and I went over the Molokai for a weekend get away. We live in Maui. Molokai is a beautiful island and very secluded and this is what we wanted. However, upon return I noticed that my credit card was charged for 39.00 extra. In booking the weekend I was told that the entire package would be a certain... more

We rented our unit (A213) from Marc Resorts and frankly, I am shocked they would allow it in the rental pool. It did not appear to have been renovated in over 25 years, judging by the decor. The carpet was the thin beige variety associated with cheap condos, and quite spotted. The mattresses in the bedroom and on the sleeper... more

We contacted Chaya Friedman directly about booking her condo at the Molokai Shores, #A215. The condo has newly remodeled kitcheh, bathroom and a very comfortable king size bed with premium linens. Ceiling fans in every room. The condo is small but impeccable, perfect for 2 people. We loved staying here. The condo is only 5 mins from town, very convenient... more

I stayed at Molokai Shores A203 unit for three nights in Aug 2007 and the 1BR/1BA condo was very nice - clean, tastefully decorated (extra towels and sheets were in the closet). The condo is called Molokai Shores - not Marc Molokai Shores and it is fairly close to the Hotel Molokai - when driving from the airport you will... more
