I needed to escape the hustle and bustle of NYC and decided to spend a few days on Molokai. The Dunbar cottages were just what I needed. An awesome property far enough away from everyone (and every thing). From the cool breezes coming off the water, the pristine views from the Lanai and even a whale or two breaching in... More

We stayed at Pauwalu cottage, furthest to the east. What a gem! We came for our tenth anniversary, and found this the perfect place for four nights of peace, moonlght and walks on the beach. The complete kitchen makes staying 'home' easy, The beach is at most fifty feet off the beautiful deck, and there's a w/d out back for... More

We stayed at the Pu'unana Beachfront Cottage, which is a little more elevated then the Pauwalu house that's beach level. What a view from the deck, Maui right in front of you across the channel, and Lanai just to the right. We had to pinch ourselves to make sure it was real. Peace and solitude are the key words there.... More

Don't tell anyone about this place! It's a little piece of heaven on earth! The pictures don't do the place justice. It's very clean and pleasant inside with a small garden area outside and then take 3 more steps and you are on a secluded super safe (shallow and protected) beach. Watch whales from the balcony porch or try snorkelling... More

My husband and his sister and her husband and myself spent a week at this cottage. What a pleasant surprise when we walked in the door to see this very nice clean cottage. Loved sleeping at night to the sound of the waves. Our favorite activity was sitting on the deck and watching the whales and seeing Maui and it's... More

Wish we were there now. Had a wonderful time. The cottage is a distance from stores and restaurants but well worth it. Bedroom had a nice view and breeze coming through the windows. Enjoyed our private beach, but really loved the patio view of Maui and Lani. Also spectacular sunrise.

We stayed a week in Pu'uana Cottage and it exceeded our expectations. The view from the deck over the ocean was exceptional and it was only a few steps down to the water's edge. The waves provided a lovely sound all evening. You enter into a kitchen that is well laid out and well equipped with a living room off... More

I was honored to accompany my family for a 2 week stay on Moloka'i back in Augusta of 2008. I am embarrassed I havent written this sooner. We stayed in Pauwalu. I ven never in my life felt more relaxed or at home as I did at the Dunbar Cottages. The people of Moloka'i are kind, generous and fun loving.... More

Our family (myself, husband and two kids aged 7 and 3) stayed at the Pauwalu cottage for 6 nights in February 2010 and we all loved the experience and were very sad to leave. I have so many good things to say about the cottage and Molokai! This was our first trip to Hawaii and we picked Molokai as a... More
