Molokai was described as the real Hawaii and we really enjoyed our time there. It put a totally different spin on our trip and we were glad to have ventured away from the main tourist spots. Everyone we met was super friendly!

We flew over from Maui for two days and one night. We had wanted to come to Moloka'i for a long time but this was our first opportunity. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was really nice to get to visit with Michael and his staff at the happy hour. After we went to get some supper we returned... More

I have to agree with another reviewer who said this place is special. It truly is! First, its location on Molokai. My spouse and I chose Molokai for part of our vacation because we heard it was the "real deal" -- Hawaii without the giant hotels and time-shares and strip malls and boatloads of tourists. Hawaii as it used to... More

My wife and I stayed on Molokai for a week at Hotel Molokai. The hotel was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was one of the few with an air conditioner. The Tradewinds were not as strong in our room. We frequently got supplies from the front desk when we were going to a beach. The... More

The pool was sparkling but closed for cleaning, the restaurant was not open yet from refurbishing, but some friends and I hung out at the pool bar and had a ball. The bartender and cocktail waitress were as friendly, and helpful as any I've encountered in my world travels, their strawberry lemonade drink was exquisite, and we loved our conversations... More

Molokai is a very small island without allot to do except relax. People on the island very friendly and will remember you after a few days. Hotel is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms aren't big and would recommend one with air conditioning unless your ok with the humidity, air units struggled to keep the room cool, very... More

We stayed here for one night, room 104. it was a little uncomfortable at first without air conditioning, but there were 2 fans in the room to circulate the air. I think we both slept well (I know i did). Upon arrival, we found the room to be very clean and well made-up, with clean white sheets on the beds... More

I kind of wish my sweaty nights at a recent trip to the Hotel Molokai involved something, anything, fun. But alas, it only involves having to spend a night in a sweatbox of a small room that had spent 13+ hours gathering heat in the baking Moloka'i sun. Trying to sleep in the room is akin to trying to sleep... More

This hotel is in an idyllic setting with water views from the room. Molokai time means that nothing is rushed and it is very easy to be bewitched by the relaxed ambiance which permeates the whole island. One highlight of our stay was the Friday evening gathering of local musicians and hula dancers in the bar at the hotel, viewed... More
