We stayed at the Old Wailuku for 2 nights during our honeymoon. We stayed there to be closer to the town of Wailuku and also to be closer to the Haleakala crater. When we arrived at the inn we were a bit concerned as we did not know quite what to do and there were no people. However, once we... more

This B&B is great. The lady who ran it was super nice. The food was excellent and they had all the little details like beach towels (even though they aren't even on a beach), coolers, ice packs and beach mats. Its a great location for coming off a plane - since its so close to the airport - and its... more

Having stayed on the beaches on all of our other trips to Maui, on this trip we decided to include adding a stay in central Maui to extend our trip so we could conveniently visit other areas of the island. The Old Wailuku Inn fit the bill for location and we were pleasantly surprised to find the property so lovely... more

Just arrived home after an enjoyable 4-night stay at Old Wailuku Inn, Maui. Our innkeepers, Janice and Tom Fairbanks, were quite cordial and friendly. Their daughter helped with the delicious breakfasts and to tidy the rooms. This is a real homey place where you feel like a local. The house is roomy and well-appointed with period antiques. The rooms are... more

My husband and I just arrived back to Oregon and are ready to go back to the Old Wailuku Inn already! It was nice to be away from all the hub-bub of the beaches in the evening and morning hours. The staff did a good job of being polite, warm and not too intrusive. We normally would not stay at... more

We've stayed here many times and each time we are impressed with the caring detail that goes into the place. I don't know when we started staying here, but most recently in December 2007. Sumptious breakfasts, beautiful home like rooms, rich gardens and almost always interesting peple at breakfast. more

My wife and I loved this place. An old converted home with beautiful dining room, sitting room, back yard. Rooms were large and nicely appointed; our bathroom was almost as big with dressing table, stall shower, and jacuzzi tub big enough for two. Staff was extremely friendly and accomodating; they provided special food for our vegetarian diet and my partner's... more

A great central location for visiting the entire island and an easy short drive from the airport (handy when arriving late). It has a nice homey comfortable feel, the breakfasts were excellent, the shower in the bathroom was fanciest we've seen, and the hostess Janice was friendly but unobtrusive. We'd recommend this B&B to anyone. more

The Old Wailuku Inn feels like a traditional Hawaiian home. The rooms have the gracious proportions and detailed finishing of an older home, there are handmade Hawaiian quilts and beautifully decorated pillows on the bed, and shelves hold a wonderful variety of books. The innkeeper's spirit of hospitality is everywhere, and everyone on the staff is lovely. On our first... more

We stayed at the Old Wailuku Inn for 7 nights in late December 2006. We would return in a heartbeat. The inn is a gracious, well maintained historic building that is both comfortable and elegant. The grounds are small but nicely landscaped, with lush vegetation. As you emerge from the inn in the evening, you are greeted by the fragrance... more
