This hostel was great value. Clean beds, clean, well kept bathrooms and well located to get to most parts of the island. Friendly staff too! The only sad thing about Wailuku is its not easy walking distance to any beach - but if you have a car, this place is great! more

We were looking for a place to stay for one night before heading over to lahaina to our resort when we found this great hostel in Wailuku. We reserved our private room online for only 69.00 and while it was a little warm in the room...it was very clean and the 4 shared restrooms were immaculate. Scott (your the man,... more

This is a clean and safe hostel. Manager is very clear and business like on his expectations. Quiet hours after 11 PM. Kitchen and bath shared and acceptable. A very good choice at $65 for private room. Tom more

I recommend Northshore Hostel to my friends who travel to Maui all of the time. I had a great time there. Staff is super friendly. A nice place to meet fellow travelers, take off to any part of the island from and come back for some R&R. more

Incredibly clean, comfortable room, great facilities (laundry, kitchen, wireless) with accommodating hours, fantastic staff, lovely sun-porch, centrally located --- so easy for all island activities. These guys run a great hostel. more

It's located in Wailuku, which doesn't have any hotels and is relatively quiet, though near the Iao Needle State Park and has some decent restaurants in the area. The staff is helpful and friendly. The place is clean. They will pick you up at the airport for free. more

Great stay!

I was in Maui for six nights and I have to say that Northshore hostel is one of the best run hostels I have ever stayed. Starting with the negatives though, this is not the best location and you will have to venture out via a rental car or bus for night life, etc. There just isn't that much around... more
