Nice location and plenty of parking in the lot across the street. Clean and neat and affordable. It's on the 2nd floor so be prepared to hull your luggage up the front entrance. Door is secured and not on the street side. You get a personal tour and the employee pointed to the numerous security cameras. The kitchen can get... More

Northshore Hostel sits above Main Street in Wailuku (central Maui) and has the entrance behind the building, down the short alley and has a door code for access. A good sized parking lot is across the street, great if you've rented a car (a must for Maui!). Much like Hawaiian culture, the staff is laid back and friendly. The rooms... More

This has been a life changing experience for me and I owe much of it to the Northshore Hostel here in Maui. Scott and the staff are awesome, the atmosphere and amenities are great, and got to meet so many amazing people. Can't recommend this place enough.

Northshore hostel was great! We met a lot of people and made many friends. The staff is very helpful and the place is always kept clean. Wailuku is an ok place but to get to the great places you either need a car, a Vespa or ride the bus. I will return whenever I come back to maui 😁 Mahalo!

I stayed at the Northshore Hostel in Wailuku for about 28 days and I had a great experience. So many people went through the dorm rooms while I stayed there. Scott and Janine went out of their way to hear us and do whatever was in their power for us to have a good experience in Maui and at the... More

The staff were friendly, funny, and in the end felt as though they were family. The people were great. The quiet hour was really nice, even though I would usually stay up long after I would enjoy the weather outside. I made so many wonderful friends during my stay here. It is what you make it so say hello to... More

I ended up here pretty much by fluke, but was pretty happy with it. The employees do a really good job of keeping things going and seem to like their gigs. The kitchen is quite functional, the laundry facilities are sufficient, the bathrooms are really well maintained and the dorm I was in was very quiet. There weren't lockers in... More

I stayed here two nights during my days in Maui. Overall very good!! Wifi is free, shuttle bus is free!! And even the pancake breakfast is free! Friendly staff and clean but kind of old school rooms. It's not a party hostel. Just a really pleasant stay!

After 3 nights at an moderate hostel we were very lucky about this hostel. Clean rooms, clean kitchen and clean bathrooms. You had to wait sometimes because the few showers were occupied but while waiting in the comfortable lobby you could talk with the other travellers. The staff was very helpful and funny. The breakfast was alright. And we loved... More

I am currently staying at this hostel during my short stay in maui. Our taxi driver originally told us we were miles away and in a rough part of town, however this was far from the truth. Upon walking into the hostel, we were assisted with our bags, welcomed and given a tour of the building. Four very clean communal... More

Mahalo for staying with us and ignoring the taxi driver (who often get commissions for steering people to other places) and we're happy you found it pleasant...we look forward to your return...a hui hou! More
