Banana Bungalow was awesome! Maui was the best part of my Hawaii trip in December, 2007 - a good part was because of this dynamic place. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Front desk has safes for your laptops. Rooms were fair for budget travellers. The big kitchen was fully equipped. The jacuzzi was an excellent treat after a long day... More

Spend nearly three months preparing my trip to Maui, reading every review that was published on the Internet and the conclusion I draw from them was that…I got more doubts.. Finally I decided to book 3 weeks at the Banana Bungalow…following is my attempt to explain what you’ll face In Maui.: Doubt number 1: Security: when reading the reviews one... More

My girl friend and I chosed the BB because of the free tours. At our first afternoon we just felt excluded by that bunch of young jaded guests hanging around the kitchen... But what a kitchen ! Full equiped and with bunch of free fruits that fall all around the place ! You need to write your name on your... More

I chose this place as my destination on the recommendation of my girlfriend who had a blast there. My experience was, however, somewhat different. Their website advertises that there is a free shuttle that will pick you up at the airport. There is not. I had to take a cab and pay about $25. Its not that expensive, but just... More

This is the best hostile i've ever stayed in. I read some bad reviews after i booked it but figured those were by people that really didn't know what to expect from a hostile so i kept my reservation. And i'm SOOOO glad i did. This is the best hostile i've ever stayed in. The staff and owner are so... More

I stayed at the Bungalow from April 3rd to April 20th, and it turned out being the best 18 days of my life. The people and the staff there are absolutely amazing, and they make you feel so welcome. The beds are comfortable, and they clean everything everyday. The Bungalow made my stay so great, and I am planning on... More

I stayed at the hostel with a friend that was not looking forward to sharing a bathroom with others. Since, she wasn't very excited about the bathroom situation we only stayed there our last night. As soon as we checked in and started meeting people she immediatly said, " I wish we stayed here the entire time!" We had a... More

I have been there 3 times and each time has been a blast! The staff is great...friendly, fun, helpful, with only a couple of oddballs thrown in. Met great people from all over and still keep in touch with some. One young man from Switzerland we met on our first visit in 2004 even came to my daughter's wedding! The... More
